  1. On a good note, you should be happy it's not an electronic motor! All the above are good suggestions, and you don't need a crystal ball to check them out! Ron Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  2. That's not good, but as you said, you gotta look on the bright side. You're off the road and not far from home. Hope you get it back on the road soon! Ron Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  3. The later one consisted of an aluminum housing for the shaft to ride in (no bearings). The newer larger shaft. A special coupler between the shaft and pump drive(different size slots). The only real rub is you have drill a hole in the block to have the oil feed to the new aluminum housing to lubricate the shaft. Can't remember for sure exactly how this was done. But you had to drill a hole from an existing gallery in the block over to the bore where housing for the pump shaft sits in the block. It really wasn't that hard, just scarry being careful you didn't mess something up. You needed a long 1/8" drill bit (6" or 8" long), put grease on it to collect most of the shavings. There's a service bulletin for for it. I have one some where. I'm not going to look for it, my filing system is much too complicated!!! I'm sure someone else can find it much faster than I would be able to. Ron Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  4. Great job Mike, one neat video, glad you got to be a part of it! Ron Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  5. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Hansen in, I think it was 1970. What a neat guy, I kidded him about all the Bulldogs he was wearing, buttons on his suit, corner ornaments on his glasses, buckles on his shoes, on his pipe, etc., etc. Then with a smile he showed me the zipper pull on his suit pants which of course was a Bulldog! Believe you me, that shut the 15 year old smart aleck from West Chester up! Ron Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

  11. Happy Birthday Carl, hope you a great day! Ron
  12. If it has the old style pump adapter on the pump (one with the screw in core plug in it) take the plug out and look inside and see if the shaft is turning when the engine is turned over. Ron
  13. The earlier 237's with the old drive(one with the ball bearings and small shaft) did have a reputation for breaking the shaft. This arrangement was used on the 673's and worked fine with 9mm plungers used in the 673 pumps. When they went to the 11mm plungers used in the ENDT 675 Maxidyne engine pumps they would fail. Ron
  14. I would recommend finding an Aeroquip dealer, they're probably reusable fittings. The big lines are #16, can't remember for sure the size of the smaller one, think it's either #6 or #8. The hose your looking for is Aeroguip FC350. Made to handle hot oil. The oil filter is a Mack #236GB311A which crosses to a Baldwin P706M, The gasket ("O") ring is a seperate item. #G157 I believe is the number. Ron Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  15. Look at the connector for the turn signal switch, If memory serves me that's where the wire from the horn contact plugs into. If it doesn't have a spot for it then the switch was probably replaced with a plain Signal Stat switch without the OEM connector The wire eventually goes to the ground side of the horn relay to close the relay and blow the horn. Just run a wire through the dash to the relay. Ron
  16. It's not an E7, it's a 2 valve E6 Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
