  1. Amazing... just picked up a crooked gold dog.. now I know its legit!
  2. Common story... When I ride around, I'm always looking at the new cars in traffic and thinking to myself, "Where the hell are all these people working?"
  3. There are around 30,000 gun related deaths per year by firearms, and this number is not disputed. The U.S. population was 324,059,091 as of June 22, 2016. Do the math: 0.000000925% of the population dies from gun related action each year. • 65% of those deaths are by suicide. • 15% are by law enforcement in the line of duty. • 17% are through criminal activity, gang and drug related. • 3% are accidental discharge deaths. So technically, "gun violence" is not 30,000 annually, but drops to 5,100. Still too many? Now lets look at how those deaths spanned across the nation. • 480 homicides (9.4%) were in Chicago • 344 homicides (6.7%) were in Baltimore • 333 homicides (6.5%) were in Detroit • 119 homicides (2.3%) were in Washington D.C. (a 54% increase over prior years) So basically, 25% of all gun crime happens in just 4 cities. All 4 of those cities have strict gun laws, so it is not the lack of law that is the root cause. This basically leaves 3,825 for the entire rest of the nation, or about 75 deaths per state. That is an average because some States have much higher rates than others. For example, California had 1,169 and Alabama had 1. Now, who has the strictest gun laws by far? California, of course, but understand, it is not guns causing this. It is a crime rate spawned by the number of criminal persons residing in those cities and states. So if all cities and states are not created equal, then there must be something other than the tool causing the gun deaths. Are 5,100 deaths per year horrific? Absolutely! But how about in comparison to other deaths? All death is sad and especially so when it is in the commission of a crime but that is the nature of crime. Robbery, death, rape, assault are all done by criminals. It is ludicrous to think that criminals will obey laws. That is why they are called criminals. But what about other deaths each year? • 40,000+ die from a drug overdose. • 36,000 people die per year from the flu. • 34,000 people die per year in traffic fatalities. Now it gets good: • 200,000+ people die each year (and growing) from preventable medical errors. You are safer walking in the worst areas of Chicago than you are when you are in a hospital! • 710,000 people die per year from heart disease. It’s time to stop the double cheeseburgers! So what is the point? If the anti-gun movement focused their attention on heart disease, even a 10% decrease in cardiac deaths would save twice the number of lives annually of all gun-related deaths (including suicide, law enforcement, etc.). A 10% reduction in medical errors would be 66% of the total number of gun deaths or 4 times the number of criminal homicides ................ Simple, easily preventable 10% reductions! So you have to ask yourself, in the grand scheme of things, why the focus on guns? It's pretty simple: Taking away guns gives control to governments. The founders of this nation knew that regardless of the form of government, those in power may become corrupt and seek to rule as the British did by trying to disarm the populace of the colonies. It is not difficult to understand that a disarmed populace is a controlled populace. Thus, the second amendment was proudly and boldly included in the U.S. Constitution. It must be preserved at all costs. So the next time someone tries to tell you that gun control is about saving lives, look at these numbers and remember these words from Noah Webster: "Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed."
  4. I may go fight on the side of the Catalans.. seems there's a good novel to be written.
  5. The sleepers are TINY.. I don't know how they do it... much smaller than a Cruiseliner.
  6. Pic was so K@@L I had to clean it up and repost it...
  7. powered by a 4-71 ? my old neighbor ran International gassers, lived beneath mile marker 17 on the PA Pike... said he hear a 4-71 coming, he'd go in to eat lunch, and when he was coming back out Jimmy would be crawling past.
  8. I'm guessing it isn't an E-6....
  9. Looks like Yooper timber to me...
  10. Did you sell it?
  11. Judging by the 4 inch exhaust, I'm guessing E6
  12. I don't understand the last sentence, but the image is very helpful.... you are a welcome asset here.... I think I like this idea so well because it looks like something a farmer would do.
  13. Amazing ... any pics of this? Do you have to plug the breather for this?
  14. There is no equivalency, and I made no such claim. Marxism is far and away more destructive.
  15. Everyone around here with 20 acres thought they would become millionaires by 2020.. some because the developers told them they'd be. All I've seen is a hot-mess because of it.
  16. I'm sorry but come on... Do you get as upset when you see the Alt-Left waving the Hammer and Sickle? We were in a cold war with them that lasted 50 years.. and a few hot ones too. (My father, a Tet Offensive veteran saw the Left in full bloom in '68) The Neo-Marxist are driving their agenda far more effectively from the college campuses and the MSM than the trifling number of actual Neo-Nazis or so-called white supremacists ... I went to a Christian University and to see the hammer and sickle on a dorm wall was seen as edgy and cool... but by-God... a Swastika?? you'd be expelled... Yet Stalin alone was responsible for murdering over 60 million people in his own country. THINK THINK THINK check your bias, because it clearly exists. READ READ READ "Gulag Archipelago"
  17. Lady Butterfly.. that truck has been around for 20+ years.... at least. Sure has changed over the years.
  18. I REALLY like that Star...! I just realized the "Commander" name .. Carried over from when White referred to their cabovers as Road Commanders?
  19. Do you think the 'alliance' with White/GMC maybe softened Volvo's entry too? I was astounded at the loads I saw being moved with single axle 112's and 113's in South America. Those trucks, to me anyway, actually looked under built, but were clearly superior to anything else working from that time period.
  20. What sort of emissions controls did the DC11 receive? I'm not familiar with the Euro tiers.... The DC11 was built as a fully electronic controlled engine then? I had understood the DC14 to be offered in a manual/electronic hybrid sort of like the PEEK Cat motors. And while I'm on the subject, was the 16 liter designed with an EGR valve from the beginning?
  21. Why is it that Volvo was able to gain a foothold in the North American market, and Scania dropped out?
