  1. Guys name is Wayne Saulnier , from Cookstown , Ontario , Canada . I used to see him at a few of our shows in Ontario and Quebec but I have not seen him or his motorhome at any shows for a few years now .
  2. Yeah , had to love the air throttle . Nothing better than driving home trying to shift with hand throttle when the cylinder on foot pedal messed up .
  3. I got mine from my carquest store in town for years along with Texaco Ursa 15w40 oil in 5 gallon pails and the carquest filters were made by wix then had good luck with them but now they don’t carry my Texaco oil and carquest filters aren’t wix anymore, so I use Chevron Delo now and Mack filters from my dealer but I only have to change oil in mine in the spring now as I only show it anymore, would like to get wix filters again though . Do you have the filter #’s ? I got another source for wix filters .
  4. Where are you located ? Are these tractors still for sale ?
  5. You can get new Alcoa’s from Traction . They’re more money than hub pilots though .
  6. Finishing up some motor work on my E9 and stopped by my Mack dealer and got 2 pails of oil to put in it because I have a half pail or better of Delo 400LE 15w40 left from my spring oil change so I thought I'd save myself $80 since I just spent a wad on the ole girl fixing timing gears . When I took the pails out of the pickup I noticed they gave me the new stufff probably what they are carrying now . So I dumped both pails in with my usual 2 gallons of Lucas I need about 2 more gallons to top her off . My question is it ok to top her off with the 400 LE ? Or do I just stop and get a couple gallons of this new stuff on my way by tomorrow ?
  7. Yes fjh that's exactly what I'm going to do. I've used a lot of PAI stuff in the past and had good luck with it .
  8. Last one I had was on my MH which used the same one as a CL and if I recall I m pretty sure I had to buy the whole slave cylinder for the pedal because they didn't sell a kit anymore that was about 12 years ago . I think I still have a couple used ones not much to them inside just a couple o rings should be able to find o rings somewhere that will match up. Mack has just gotten terrible with anything V8 related . Went to my dealer yesterday to price a crankshaft gear cam gear and seals gaskets and a damper for one of mine they wher just out to lunch . What they were able to fix bs on the computer was priced just totally retarded. Already found a couple other sources so I guess I won't be buying from my Mack dealer .
  9. When I was a kid My parents and grandparent always went to Sears for all their big ticket items around home . And in the fall the Wish book always came in the mail and we'd be making out our Christmas which list mainly out of it . Used to be a big deal when we'd get to go on an occasional trip to the city shopping usually. Always included a trip to sears . But I've found about the last 15 years Sears stores over here in Canada suck they've totally went to shit ! They used to sell anything and everything and it was always good stuff but anymore it's just junk ! Last year I took my mother to the city to do here Christmas shopping and we went into sears the store is practically bare now they don't stick anything or carry anything in general anymore and even there catalogue outlets they used to have in every small town are dying off . I can't se them being in business for too much longer myself .
  10. Would it be possible to get a pic or two of the Sanden bracket you have and maybe a few measurements, it would be greatly appreciated .
  11. It has an Oakville door tag ? I thought the Oakville Superliners were glider kits but if it were a glider it would have RW700GK ? but it has RW713 all the Oakville Superliner Gliders I've seen had GK behind the model . I know they built Complete R models there but I thought the Superliners from there were glider kits . Did they build complete Superliners in Oakville too ?
  12. The bottom photo of the grey level 4 is a photo of my truck the seats a a bit darker tweed cloth on the top and a marbled grey vinyl on the sides , the door panels have vinyl the same as the sides of the seats on the top followed by the soft lighter grey cloth that the head liner is made from with grey carpet on the bottom carpet in floor is grey here's a pic of the door panel the lighting in the shed I store my truck in isn't good I'll take some better pics on the weekend if you want .
  13. I've always had the best results with the black shot . And have tried glass bead before and it worked pretty good too .
  14. MH cab fully dressed is heavy.i had a parts one and I could not fully lift the cad with the hoe on a Case 580 D was able to lift just enough to drag it off the chassis. I would guess probably 4000lbs for fun.
  15. Round on a Superliner were till 1984 and were made by Grover. From 1985 on they were square and made by Hadley. I just put a set on mine this summer bought them at my local Mack dealer the square ones made came in a Hadley box all the mounting gaskets included with Mack end caps on them just like the factory ones I took off . They cost me $150 Canadian a piece. Watts Mack has them in their site . I'm pretty sure the mounting holes are different between Grover and Hadley horns so if you switch to square ones you might have a few new holes to drill and a few old ones to fill .
  16. That's still a factory option. Most Macks I've driven n Dump or Mixer application have had that clutch pedal, I guess it's to keep your foot from slipping off if you boot is full of mud !
  17. Ran the VIN# for the 92 MH my motor is from and the dealer said the bracket is not available . I guess I'll probably end up fabricating my own.
  18. I'm posting this for a friend he's selling his 56 LTL Mack . One of the last 10 built . Originally from Idaho . Has a 262 Cummins ( witch is a 220 with a turbo ) , 5x2 Mack Duplex tranny with a 3 spd Brownie from the factory . Truck is partially restored and very solid . Will post pics on weekend . Call Bruce for price. (519)-999-3363
  19. Anytime I've done them I usually try to do them the way Terry said its just a way neater and eat way to hide you'd splice and its a better reinforcement that cutting the truck in half .
  20. I never called them about it . If I go to any dealer with the # off the door looking for the AC compressor bracket for an E9 I don't think they would be able to do much for me on this my truck is a Glider I would have to use the vin# from the MH I took the E9 from. .
  21. I'm looking for an AC compressor bracket and compressor for an E9 . Compressor and bracke would be nice but mainly after the bracket as long as I can get a part # for the compressor that's all we really need. (519)-999-4706
