  1. I like your truck the way it is. I would leave it the way it is. It looks much better in person than in your little avatar picture. Jeff Manty is really upset that he sold it to you. It was good to meet you and your father. Mike
  2. Gearhead, Nice to meet you. Leslie, You forgot this one.
  3. Didn't see it this year but it was for sale last year. Unfortunately I was broke. Mike
  4. That sucks. They looked great for the minute they pasted. I have ripped the flaps off my Transtar many times. My father caught a flap last year with his RL and wrecked the bracket and the tire. Luckily the tire was junk already.
  5. Yes. It is a 450 V8. Better than new.
  6. I saw Leslie and his Superliner on my second trip up today. That brought our total to 20. Mike.
  7. It won't be as easy to post a picture of every Mack as it was for the ATHS show. We took 9 trucks up today, only 4 of which are Macks. We'll make a few more runs tomorrow. It is supposed to rain tomorrow and Friday. Should not have waisted my time washing and drying all these trucks. Mike
  8. I want it.
  9. That is great mistake. I'd love to have it. Have fun with it. Mike
  10. Welcome to the forum. Great save. Will you make it to the ATCA truck show in Macungie next week? I'm sure you can find fenders there. Mike

    Tires

I have some used 9.00x20 that you are welcome to look at and make an offer but if the truck is getting an expensive resto they probably don't want used tires. Mike
  12. It was posted already and someone said he was buying it. Certainly a good price.
  13. I called. It's sold. Mike
  14. Congrats. Even though I will sound like Vinny, what is the serial number? Mike
  15. The length laws on the east coast kept engines small but in the Wild West where there were no length laws big horse power was king. Bigger engines were needed to pull longer trailers, doubles or triples. The big hoods covered the big engines. The big radiators did the cooling. That is why the superliner was developed. A bigger hood to cover a bigger radiator to cool a bigger engine. I see more superliners in the road now in PA then I did when they were in production. I think they are being shipped in from the west coast. That is what I was told anyway. Mike
  16. That is Wayne King's truck. It is in very nice condition. I'm sure he put way more than $65,000 in it. He is from Owen Sound Ontario. His brother has the big green and orange Autocar that comes to Macungie every year. I have some pictures of it from years ago at Mack Day, but they are prints. Mike
  17. So where is this 527 in my area?
  18. Welcome to the forum. I have a '60 DC75 but yours looks a lot nicer than mine. Mike
  19. That is pretty neat and cheap enough. Who's going to buy it?
  20. Do any of the a EN 540 gas job?
  21. Did you get the serial number? (Sorry Vinny. I had to)
  22. Yes. I bought it last year at Macungie. I had a weak moment. It came from Tom Zacny's estate. I like the truck. It is just too long. I don't have room for it and I hate for it to sit out. I haven't driven it, but it was driven from Philly to Macungie then my house. Mike
  23. This one is at Yaworski's in Connecticut. I have the serial number written down somewhere. I thought it was a B30B, but maybe not. I saw an E model bus in a junkyard in Mertztown Pa in the mid 90's. Didn't take a picture though and doubt it is still there. Mike
  24. It's a fixed flat bed. Not even a hoist under it.
  25. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/9985-raystown-mack-f-models-045/ Here is a link to some pictures on my gallery if anyone is wondering. This subject has been brought up several times before. The North Penn day cabs are not there. They are mine. Mike
