  1. A pretty common one is Midland EL13111 or comparable. In the $300.00-350.00 range with core. Jim
  2. Also, having 11R24.5 available makes sense because I bet there were may truckers asking "What the f@ck is size 285/75R24.5?" Jim
  3. Pretty interesting to read that the Goodyear tires fitted to the trucks were molded with "Magnum" in the sidewall. Jim
  4. I asked a friend of mine and he had good luck with Loctite 272 for some 1 1/4" bolts and supposedly is good to 450 degrees. I like the idea of going back to studs as well. Jim
  5. I can't help with a 1999 diagram or AC setup but there is a 1983 wiring diagram in the BMT Wiki section of this site. Click on classic and antique information and then go to page 4 for the diagram. Might help narrow things down for you.
  6. Various types of liqueur or alcohol might work. Just a quess.....
  7. Seems to be enough interest to run another batch of mirror brackets. I wonder what number a "run" would have to be?
  8. It is pretty easy to do and not much money. Check with some dump truck operators for a shop in your area. Not having a pintle or air to the rear shouldn't be a deal breaker if the rest of the truck checks out.
  9. She must be waiting for the local train because she doesn't have any luggage.
  10. Yikes! That float really let go. Glad to see the truck upright and everyone ok.
  11. Could have had 3.71 in a CRD 117 carrier.
  12. Sounds great! Will will wait patiently (maybe) for photos....
  13. Make sure your buddy doesn't scrap that cab! Lot's of parts left such as the two curved front windshield glass. Jim
  14. Been a loooooong time, but my recollection is the shaft should come out the top. Soak it with penetrating oil and GENTLY tap with a brass punch from the oil pump side toward the head.
  15. Canada Day celebrates the anniversary of becoming an independent country July 1, 1867.
  16. Happy Canada Day, Eh! Heading to the farm north of the border in a couple of weeks. Wonder if they will let me in?
  17. Thanks for sharing some great pictures! I sure like the look of Hudson's red Super. Jim
  18. There is a landscaper near me with a Finn Hydro Seeder and the amount of green carpet they can get down in just a couple of minutes is huge. Jim
  19. Weren't Hahn and Mack pretty tight in the construction of fire equipment?
  20. Good Job! Maybe get a nice big old Holmes 750/850 twin boom for the General?
  21. There is a 1983 R model wiring diagram in the BMT Wiki section. Click on Wiki in the toolbar and it had been posted in the antique truck information section and then head to page four. Should get you in the right direction. Jim
  22. Suzie Q's? A girl or a cupcake? Ahhh, nevermind...
