    I think it was something like that,I drained it out again and re checked the thermostat, refilled and opened a few plugs' and got all the air out,went for a good ride and all is well,still hard to warm up at idle,the fan seems to be fully engaged when cold,that could be another problem.

    1996 e-7 350 mechanical, runs perfect, problem started as no heat just starting blowing cold air,temp was a little below normal, if I race the engine to 1400- 1600 the heat comes back,thinking thermostat I changed it and now its worse, I had the truck running at high idle for 20-30 minutes no heat,temp gauge wont budge, no water circulating at all,don't think its a head gasket no water in the oil and no oil or fuel residue in the water,is it possible something happened to the water pump internally, anybody ever have something happen the there water pump that could cause these issues like maybe the impeller broke or something?

    The thing is if the wheels of the truck are turning then the transmission is turning and the clutch bake is not going to stop it unless your just rolling very slow and use the clutch brake to stop the truck witch you should not do.

    The clutch brake is used to stop the trans gears from spinning to ease in shifting into gear but ONLY when the truck is at a full stop, engaging it while the truck is moving or even rolling very slow will brake it.

    Agreed, also turkey and from what Im told a few ounces of alcohol a day is good for your cardio system, a top notch vascular surgeon told me this..

    Ha, last time I went to court for an over weight ticket I was only allowed to say guilty or not guilty and then the judge got mad because I didn't have enough money to pay the fine,lol Good luck

    Something is not right if your only getting one or two years out of them, or was that before the new springs and trunion work.

    10,000,you can save a whole bunch of money doing it your self if your capable, even if you gotta borrow a few tools.

    You should have just told him you run 80/140 in the trans..lol feel better.

    As stated above as long as the crank and cam is good I would do an in frame rebuild, I've always used reman heads with no problem but you do have to give them a good core.1300 a head is for what, new with no core, it's been a while but that number sounds crazy!!

    I come from a family of farmers, one thing I know you do not step onto a farmers premises/land and tell them what to do, how to do it, how long to work or anything else, Period.

    Can you believe this, Senator Charles Schumer wants all commercial drivers to take a course to learn how to use a gps properly, this is to keep them us off the parkways and hitting low bridges ,lol what's next?

    Just keep in mind the dynamat or roof flashing does not stop noise from coming into the truck what it does is stop the metal from vibrating, just knock on the outside of your door and you will hear that hollow sound and after applying the dynamat you will have a nice solid sound,also a big help if the cab has some interior padding to absorb the sound waves that are bouncing around. The best sound deadener insulating material is sold in the marine stores like west marine, think its called sound down or something like that,it pricy but the best out there..good luck

    Are there relief valve adjusters on the steering boxes,I remember the older ones having them.

    Its high priced roof flashing,just go to lowes and get a few rolls.it will help a lot but the key to a quiet truck is cab isolation,check your cab mounts or up grade to air ride cab.

    About 250 a wheel with a brake kit and good core exchange,if you cant give them back a good core the shoes are 250 one shoe.

    Grey matter by WAB,maybe Barry has it in the on line store,best stuff I ever used but I do it by hand.

    I bought a product off the shelf at my mack dealer called grey matter or something like that,its a liquid they have two different cutting grades heavy and fine, I use the fine and it works awesome,I will double check the name of it.
