  1. What length trailers do you guys run in Illinois? Do they let you run 80,000 or do they axle weigh?
  2. Kscarbel, when did Mack start outsoucing axle manufacturing and frame assembly, and what were the reasons? (Im sure it was price)
  3. Id leave the 6 speed in it. Its a Maxidyne let it lug. 6 speed of the best transmissions ever made. I think the 6 speed adds to the cool.
  4. You can inframe a Big Cam cheaper than an e7? Wow have times changed. Anyone else remember how cheap it was to infame a e6 back when Mack was Mack?
  5. I can give you the dimensions with the stainless grill surround still attached tomorrow. Can you post any pics and explain how you glassed in your new mounts?
  6. The truck was repainted red and black by a collector in Pa and was sold to its current owner. Its a lousy pic but you get the idea.
  7. Instead of improving on it and offering a 400hp maxidyne / maxitorque 6 speed combo they push their non servicable mechanical marvel M-drive. Just as in the late 60's and 70's it is beyond a lot of fleet drivers to shift a range shifted transmission properly. A modern straight 6 speed Maxitorque behind a real Maxidyne has a valid place in todays market if it was marketed correctly.
  8. What is Ram thinking by not picking up exclusive rights to this engine?
  9. You need to wire the trailer wiring off of the junction block on the outside firewall. The truck tailights are wired like you said above. All the connections to wire a 7 round plug are there on the firewall.
  10. I hope your not going to use it on that Gravely deck! Ha
  11. That truck lives in a garage and has had the same driver since new. It is very low mileage and super clean.
  12. Its a really nice truck with a turned up Pedigreed 400 E7 and 12 speed, but it wasnt born a single axle.
  13. Yeah they are the newer visors that Mack started putting on the slope nose facelift RD's
  14. Are you talking about Gallo's palnt in Keasby?
  15. I remember hearing the stories from my Dad about Underwalls iron. All with big power, big brakes 8" shoes on truck and trailer, and lots of options. Had Autocar tandem dumps with 318's with n70's, Brockway tractors with V12's hauling City dump trailers. He even had some Ford LT9000 Tandem dumps with Montone bodies which my uncle bought used from him. (They were junk and the first and last Ford big trucks my uncle (FERNEL Trucking) ever owned.) They were black cab with red frames and were lettered for P&F trucking out of Freehold NJ. His drivers used the big power and brakes to run heavy and not look it! I just love hearing stories from "back in the day trucking in NJ".
  16. I wouldnt mind having that one! A R700 with a 318 is on the list. Im surprised that it has a 15spd and not a 13.
  17. thanks. It doesent sound like its worth the ride back east. My dads first dump truck was a 64 C60 LCF. Still have it, but it needs to be re-cabbed.
  18. The factory never installed a tip turbine on a 4vh but it will fit. I have seen it done.
  19. How rotten is the cab and nose?
  20. I am looking for an early r model lower stack bracket that is welded to the fuel tank support
  21. If the truck holds air for a "few days" I wouldnt be chasing any more air leaks if it was me.
  22. Leave it alone, you have the perfect trans for a truck mounted spade.
