  1. Raise is correct. The cab should return under its own weight when you move the lever to LOWER. The only time you need to pump to lower is if you go "over center" (cab will be almost flat on its windshield). If it is like my MH, the interlock is automatic. There should be a safety bar (mine is on same side as the pump). NEVER work under the cab without the safety bar in place. As a secondary precaution, use a 4x4 from the cab to the floor. Again, this is on my MH. The MC may be different.
  2. Perhaps this should be Swiffer's theme song.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDxVJ471hyg
  3. I "moved" a few parts at York (thanks to those who stopped by) but still have many left to sell. Most of the F parts are gone but I still have early R "X" style window regulators, glass, and complete inside door panels (these will also fit U/F). Also E6 injection pump (use for core or spare, complete but do not know the condition), NOS E6-4V rocker cover, PTO pump, water pump, fuel tank supports, exhaust manifolds, blower motors, and other parts that will fit various Macks. A few MH parts: LH rear grab handle, early step inserts, and a NOS early step that mounts under the air tank. All of these parts came from a Mack fleet that closed their doors. Most are used but some are NOS. I do not have prices on these parts so I am open to offers. This will be the last trip/show with these parts. After Macungie the parts will "disappear".
  4. Mark, I don't think anyone is questioning you or what you saw. I wish more drivers were like you and many others here on BMT. I am from the "older" generation and I was taught like you. Even tho I am retired, unless I am working outside, I try to dress neat and keep clean. Seems many people I see dress like "walmartians". I think what is missing is PRIDE. I take pride in who I am and what I do. I agree with maint1, practice practice practice.
  5. I am no expert when it comes to driving or backing a semi. The other week I backed into a space at Breezywood and I am sure there were observers laughing at me. That 28' trailer has a mind of its own. If it were me, if I could not back it in within a few tries (and if there is a line) I would pull out and let the others unload. But then again, I am sure Swiffer wants the driver to unload ASAP and move on to the next destination. It is amazing how easily some steering wheel holders drivers are able to get their CDL and a job with a major trucking company with little or no experience. Most companies want at least two (2) years OTR experience before they will consider you. And I do not consider a lot of drivers as "professionals" based on their attire. That includes other professions, not just trucking. Just my 2-1/2 cents.
  6. NIce pics. I like the shovel. What year and model is it? What are the odds of finding one in good operating condition?
  7. Guys, Other than issues with IE11 I do not have any problems using my portable HP computer. As I previously stated, phones are for talking, computers for email, forums, etc., and cameras are for pictures.
  8. Anyone staying at the Hawthorne Suites in Fogelsville? I would like to bum rides: 1. from the show grounds on Thursday afternoon to the hotel 2. hotel to and from the Nunnery on Thursday evening 3. hotel to and from the show on Friday 4. hotel to the show on Saturday Otherwise I will need to use the goof cart, bicycle, or MH Randy - are you planning another gathering at the Fogelsville Hotel on Saturday evening?
  9. Years ago I looked at a B with Unishift. Personally I liked it better than a twin stick (only need one hand to shift).
  10. Thanks for the pics. Visions look like ex Air Products. Why would you want to take a pic of a KWhopper?
  11. That bucket has been sitting there For Sale for at least three (3) years. And I have not figured out why the ambulance is almost always sitting there. Tom, Nice Jeep. Does your BIL Ronny go commando when he drives the Commando?
  12. 13 days and counting! I plan to arrive on Thursday afternoon (12 days for me) Don't forget the BMT nooner on Saturday at Watt's tent. Also, Friday night is the Family Reunion - great food! Doug and company - see what you can do about keeping the rain away until at least Sunday.
  13. Another one that "disappeared" is doubleclutchinweasel.
  14. If all that stuff is inside that sleeper, I should have no problem with my trailer.
  15. Visit Cleveland and you can tour the house. www.achristmasstoryhouse.com
  16. I don't have a "More" button. Hmmm My buttons at the top of the page are: Members - Forums - Gallery - Calendar - Blogs - Wiki - Garage - Mack Registry - Member Map - Pages - Donate - Feedback - Chat - View New Content Per Barry's original post: "The link is in the top menu above."
  17. The "Chat" button is at the top of the page on the right, just to the left of View New Content. Click on it. There is an option to open in a second window. That allows you to still view the interweb or BMT while chatting. Ezrider and I are running out of chat subjects.
  18. The PAI box looks identical to the Mack box. Curious if the Mack and PAI are made by the same company. Both include the rubber latch.
  19. The A/C belt on my MH is squealing when I accelerate. I am going to install a new belt since I do not know how old is this one. I did a quick look last week and could not determine how to tighten the compressor. Does anyone have the service procedure or know how to loosen and put tension on the compressor/belt? What is the tension spec? Thanks in advance for the info.
  20. Mike, Thanks for the food suggestions. Let's get together at the Family Dinner (Friday night) and then again on Saturday at the BMT nooner at Watt's tent. Food is a good magnet but let's just enjoy each other's company.
  21. Based on information I received, Vulva Mack supplies only unchromed parts. Likely the parts are black plastic and then one can paint them any color or have them chromed.
  22. Saw this MH613 on Truckpaper with a black grille. Does not look too bad.
  23. Barry, I was on chat last night for a short time. There were some visitors (curious I guess) but only EZrider and I chatted. At this time, I suggest limiting the number of users to five (5). If this becomes an issue then revisit the cost.
  24. Thanks Carey! Sorry I did not know/remember who you were. I will try to remember next time but I am a forgetful old fart. FYI, all persons in the York BMT photo have been identified. Thanks!!
  25. Barry, As for the cost...you talkin' 3 digits or 4 digits?
