So true My Yankee brothers... I have been in N.C. for 16 years.. I rarely ever have to break out the torches to loosen bolts.. I got spoiled working on trucks with no rust.. God bless you guys...

Hey Dalton, have you called O'Connor motors ( Formally Maine Mack) at 299 Warren ave. in Portland... I have used many atro kits, but I dont know how the life expectancy compare's to Mack... I think they are close, But they are affordable, and the bolt kit is really good... I have put these in 44 and lighter rears.. jojo

I like that one Hayseed... I was told it is called a 'Rattle can rebuild' All of them are funny,,,, unless you are the buyer.. TJC,,, I have had to do extensive work on quite a few 'Auction trucks'... Fresh white painted cab's and gloss black frames, but...... thousands more dollars after the buyer makes a couple runs, or less.. jojo

Mech, These are big time competitions that MackVo puts on to test the contestants at their skill set.. It is a timed event, and the tasks are, tranny builds/ elec diag/ and such... I was never asked to go to one,, I guess bcs I dont fit the new age mold,, anyway... It's prestigous in the Mackvo world.. and you earn 'Brownie point's'... However, those of us that are REAL Mechanics, know how many rewards we won, when we shake hands with happy customers... jojo

you were leaning towards a real issue, Onyx... The Davco 382 is a great setup, and you are correct about the $8.00 check valve allowing fuel to bleed back when worn.. My guess is He doesnt have that added to the MP.. Too bad.. at times I try to recommend adding one to trucks just because... I like the drain and the ability to see the filter as it gets dirty.. I also like the fuel heater option that it offers.. Just tossing my opinion in the mix... jojo
