  5. They did NOT come in the Eaton box in the background... Oops....

First time using this company, I will try them again as needed... If the picture is not clear enough let me know, and I will re-shoot the pic and P.M. it to you... Jojo
  7. Cool Idea.. all I can think of is "Mack" in the movie,. "Cars"... Now I want to watch some trucker movies from the 70's..

  13. Great !! Thank yo for posting the solution, and for catching 'Mickey',, him and his pals can really give us headaches... jojo
  14. Me too... I have an idea.. a small light wieght panel with extra wire and thermocoupler, in a enclosure, and put ceramic magnets on it, so when I'm driving I can stick it to my dash to see my gauges, and then be able to pull it off and hide it behind the dash.. I will put felt on the magnets to avoid scratches.. what do you think??
  15. My amp gauge does work. But I figure I will just un hook the wires and cap them.. then make a small gauge panel that I can hide under the dash, at truck shows.. I know I can make a new harness with a modern fuse panel, and get a clamp on turn signal wand, since there isn't one. It would be nice to find a good horn button assembly for the steering wheel, but if I have to put a button in , I will...
  16. Mech,. My plan is to disconnect the wires and cap them, and leave them in place. You may remember, I was going the leave the old wires in place just to show how it was built in 1948.. I think I'm going to make a swing away gauge panel under the dash, that I can swing up behind the dash at shows, so you won't see my modern crap.. jojo
  17. Mech.. this is my '48... Jojo
  18. Im not real smart on 1070's. I believe that's what he has. But I would look at a split oring in a shift cyl. May be time rebuild the shift cyl's.. new air filter, and confirm air pressure setting.. Simple stuff first.. jojo
  19. It's funny.. I was on my phone earlier today and all was normal.. then during a late day break, I checked on my phone, and thought my phone went crazy.. It's all good,, Jojo
  20. I just want to be able to walk and bend without pain.. If that happens I will feel like a man again.. then i will stick it to my wife,,,, just sayin... hopefully that will shut her up...
  21. Well 'F' from what I am seeing, even if we give away our secrets, they wouldnt know how to use the knowledge.. They are not looking at a Mechanical issue nowadays, they want to plug a laptop in and get the answer.. So .... No.... I'm not concerned.. the knowledge we have will go in the ground with us... jojo
  22. Ok, Onyx... I understand your point's.. But... Many guys ran good old push rod MACK engines, and they new how to keep them running, and making their living.. You didnt need to have a boat load of special tools and knowledge to get it done.. and a computer.. now, you have to have all of those, and the luck to find a shop that can fix it.. and then you cross your fingers when you leave the shop, hoping that the CEL doesnt come back on and derate you in 30 minutes or less.. I know i'm losing here but this is my take on this.. jojo
