I would be really shocked if Hillary ever gets charged with anything, let alone actually be convicted. I believe she could pull out a gun and kill one of the moderators in tonight's debate and get away scott free. Sure, the republicans would piss and moan about it but wouldn't do a darned thing.

One local guy has 3 387 Petes and another guy has one 387. They are basically new trucks without all the emissions junk. They seem to be really spitting them out but I wonder how long it will be before the EPA shuts them down?

I've had a Spicer 1241-C trans for awhile and I'm thinking of putting it behind my 12 speed in my RD822sx. Does anybody know if this would be a good combination? I really only want it for a lower 1st gear but the OD will also be nice because the truck tops out right now around 60mph. It has some bearing issues I've also got to deal with before the install. Does anybody know if parts are readily available?

As I said above, it can be done but it will be with deminishing returns. It will always take more energy to break the water down than it will produce. It's the basic law of thermodynamics. I don't doubt the guy was murdered but I doubt it was because of his hydrogen vehicle. The process is so simple you could do it in 5 grade science class, so it's no big mystery. All you have to do is put two DC current electrodes into a vat of water, around the negative electrode will be hydrogen and around the positive will be oxygen.

I have no info on the system is question. I do know that all these people that claim you can run a engine on water ( breaking down water into hydrogen and oxygen) are full of it. Sure, you can break water down and run a engine on it, the problem is it takes more energy to break the water down that it produces.

The spring and ball can fly out when disassembling the relief, just be ready to catch it. Most are adjustable but some aren't. On the ones that aren't, sometimes you can put a spacer behind the spring to increase pressure (usually a dime or washer will work). If you are going to run a filter, put it on the return to the tank. None of our trucks have filters.

You can usually get a replacement as cheap as you can rebuild. They aren't hard to rebuild though, if you can find the parts. As has bee said, put a pressure gauge on it. If you don't have proper pressure, check the relief valve first. With the pressure gauge, if the pump is worn the pressure will increase with engine rpm. If it's a relief problem, whatever pressure you have at idle, it shouldn't increase with rpm. Most pumps should be putting out at least 2,000 psi and should be capable of being turned up at least 2,500 psi.

I've stacked that much cribbing before. After all this time, you still can't beat hardwood cross ties for holding stuff up. It's not very fun though, I think a 7X9 green tie weighs around 350lb. I know a guy that could carry one on each shoulder. These days I do good to just get one end.

Something can't be right. Fox has Cruz with 46,000 votes, Sanders 628, Clinton 633. Surely there's no way that 46K voted for Cruz and only 1,261 votes for both Clinton and Sanders. I know Democrats are a dying breed but surely there are more than 1,261 democrats in the state of Iowa that will get their lazy butt off the couch and go vote.

Just keep in mind that primary totals and turnout don't really give much indication of what will happen in the general election. It could be that the republican race is just a more contested race than the democrats. Fox just reported that Cruz wins, Trump just barely beats out Rubio. Sanders and Clinton in a dead heat.

The trans doesn't look too bad from the outside but that engine looks rough. Looks as it was covered with a blue tarp but the tarp had holes in it and the intake was open to the elements. Blue tarps (or any other color made of the same material) aren't much good for anything.

I've been offered grant money in the past for various things. Never took a dime of it. One reason is on principle but the main reason is with that money comes strings attached. I don't want any "free" government money.

I've already paid out enough in the last year to buy a platform trailer. We've been moving some big loads of 250,000lb+ lately and have more prospects in the future. My main reason of wanting a platform is that all of the places we go into to unload are very tight ( backing into a building and such) and was looking at the maneuverablity of the platform trailers. I have looked at the dollies but , to me, they look like a cobbled up mess to tie it all together. Our main mode of operation is to unload from rail, truck a couple miles to the site, and unload. David, if you have any better info on any of this, I'd love to hear any advise you offer.

I have no data to back this up but I'm thinking a tip turbine setup wouldn't cool as well as a front mounted intercooler. I'd also think you'd loose a little boost to spin the turbine. I don't think either one of these issues would be a deal breaker. As has already been mentioned, watch your EGT due to the statements mentioned above.

Just ordered one from Napa. Thought it was the right one but when I got it it was for the 3/8 shaft. Simple fix was I found that a piece of 3/8 plastic air line worked great for a bushing.

Yea, pony motors are a pain. We had a folding tail with a pony and either it was out of gas, battery was dead, or it just plain wouldn't start and run right. To top that off it was painfully slow compared to a wet line.

Most of those old Timberjacks ran DD. There is still a few still running around here, most with straight pipes but even the factory muffler didn't do much. That DD sound will travel for miles through the woods.

I'm in the market for a hydraulic platform trailer. I'm looking at getting 10-12 lines. Does anybody have experience with these trailers? I know the big names are Goldhofer and Nicolas. I'm currently looking at 10 lines Nicolas in SC and 12 lines Goldhofer in TX. I was going through some old Talbert literature and they have pics of where they made some platform trailers but they must have been custom jobs as I can't find any info on the net about them. I'm also thinking I want a neck. It just doesn't seem practical to me to add dead weight to the prime mover for traction when you can use the load weight with the neck. Seems most of the outfits you see use the towbar though. Maybe I'm missing something.

Usually you can just turn the wheel lock to lock a few times and get all the air out. I just blew a PS hose on my RD822 and dumped all the fluid. I just replaced the hose, filled the reservoir back up, cycled the system a few times, and was good to go.

Yep, I believe that's the truck. It was a very nice truck. I've known it since I was a kid. I've seen it haul 300 tons.
