  1. more like road being repaved and the dumbass never put the body down after leaving the paver. i see it 2-3 times a year on our major roads here in New Jersey.
  2. that is not a thingamabob. it is a thingamajig. a thingamabob has the knob on top of the lever, a thingamajig has the knob in the middle of the lever.
  3. they sure do!! usually takes 4 men 3-4 days of welding to make it one piece.
  4. it looks like the body of a Caterpillar 777-D
  5. and let me guess, star transport only hauls alcohol, rite?
  6. i had a guy try that yesterday in static island. he had to lock up the brakes when he realized he was not going to make it, and almost got hit head on by a NYC sanitation truck who did not slow down. the was nothing i could do, it was a two lane with no shoulder so i could not move over even if i wanted to.
  7. the bed up light and buzzer are one of the first thing people disconnect, because they are freaking idiots that should not be allowed to drive a truck!!
  8. with the Ford Superduty instrument cluster, i am going to go out on a limb here and say it is powered by a Powerstroke diesel, and sitting on a Ford Superduty dually pickup frame.
  9. must be an Austrailian truck!!
  10. and check your cab mounts, the throttle linkage runs on a jackshaft across the firewall. if one of the springs breaks the throttle can get a mind of its own when the cab flexes seperatly from the frame and engine.
  11. only reference i have ever seen for them was with a 195 HP or a 220 HP V8 gas engine.
  12. that econoline was fabricated, not made by ford.
  13. unbolt the muffler, and put a chrome stack on.
  14. that would look sweet sitting in my driveway at home with the rest of the fords.
  15. new jersey plates. i wonder where he is from, i have never seen that rig before.
  16. Frank still has it and uses it. he just picked up a giant prime mover and trailer, i think it is an 18 axle.
  17. this truck is still on the road, i just worked with him last week. he put an aluminum body with electric tarp on it last winter because the steel body was ready to fall off it.
  18. i remember way back when Glasofer Mack was in Edison NJ and they would always get DMM trucks in for service. dual steer axles, triple or quad rear axles, and large V8 engines. every once in a while they would also get the large quarry end dumps in on trade they had a few BIG ones in the back lot for 2-3 years.
  19. you need to me a member and logged in to open the link.
  20. anyone ever converted the granite heater control valve from electric motor to cable? the one in my 05 is bad, and i really don't feel like putting another motor in it for it to only go bad again.
  21. i got so pissed off at ethenol crap ruining 3 string trimmers i gave up on them and got an electric one. ethenol gas gets a double dose of stabil, and a double dose of marine stabil. i still have 2 1 gallon containers of this mix in the garage as a "test bed" that is a little over 2 years old and still good. but i usually use it after no more than 12 months. i always have at least 10 gallons in the garage to power the 2 10 KW gensets and the gas welders. a;; units running will make just about 32 KW. if power goes out i use around 5 gallons per hour if everything is running, but i usually only run 1 10 k unit at around 1 gph. and the gen sets always get the fuel disconnect and carbs run dry to prevent varnishing of the fuel bowls.
  22. petvert, not a pervert.
  23. interesting he can get 2500 out of it, i thought these engines were goverened at 2200.
  24. a freind picked up a used 2103 CX713, it did not come with a radio in it. the wiring is there though. he asked me if i could set him up with a radio and CB. i have a CB and antenna setup already for it, just need to pick up a radio. anyone know what mack gets for a radio already wired for the truck?
