  1. I agree with Glenn. That's old Freightliner. Gliders we're popular back then. It wasn't always an avoid after treatment thing.
  2. You would be interested in them. I know I've seen them all cover to cover at least twice. Nice magazine if you're into trucks.
  3. I'm not sure what suspension that is, but that's a nice old truck. Looks like it has a Detroit ?

I doubt a BigHorn was a gas job. Lots of guys used to like Dodge's class 8 trucks. They were fairly popular where I live back in the '70s. They were mostly some form of 900 series . The BigHorn was Dodge's attempt at a truck on par with big Peterbilts and Kenworths. I think the base engine was a 350 Cummins.

I posted a picture of a tranny. Be a long time figuring out what's wrong with that one 🤔

That's a BigHorn '74 or '75 only like 271 (or close to that) ever made.
  8. I've looked at this truck over and over. IDK if it came with a brown interior, but some Mack guy had something to do with it and somebody liked to paint. Looks like the doors are faded at a different rate than other parts of the truck (like painted at a different time ??) The duct on the intake looks like maybe donated from a Cool Power and is painted red . Then there's the red fuel tanks....someone was better than just OK with painting, so brown interior isn't much of a stretch ......but then there's that brown wheel.....hmmm. Interesting good looking B no matter .
  9. Jo Jo happy wife happy life. don't take the bait from tjc..... he's safe in NJ
  10. I think they're part number 44 DDD, but as always.....check the VIN to be sure
  11. Joey....those bags cost a fortune, and after a while I'd expect some severe sagging.
  12. Be nice if he went to visit her

96 and still able to get in a truck. Holy cow !!!! and a Mack no less
  14. The upsman part kinda makes me think of UPS.....one explanation for the brown. I know when they'd buy trucks they'd have their way and not get emblems and such. Only recently you start seeing anything on them. They might not have even had Bulldogs on them to open hoods if I remember right.

Something like that can be costly, and lead to swollen bones.
  17. Kinda looked like it was working. I didn't see anything on the trailer.
  18. I'm pretty sure that truck passed me going down Route 81 near Harrisburg this week 🤔
  19. Yes, I see that. But there must be some reason some guys have them. I've often wondered . Thanks for replying.
  20. Anybody know what that thing on the roof that looks like a tiny Michelin Man is ? I see them on trucks from time to time. Some even light up. I'm guessing there's some story that goes along with them.

    Yes. Canadian man.
  22. Never any need to make any kind of apology for your post. (endless ? ) You're way more than an average guy restoring a truck....thanks.
  23. Scania and the E9 were pretty close when they came out . European designs seem to like a single head per cylinder . I guess maybe it has it's advantages ?? You guys put them through way harder service than the majority of V8s saw her (some worked hard) Last I read the Scania was using unit pumps and all that good stuff. 732 HP is pretty hard to ignore .
