  1. You have tried every single brand of plug except what I would have started with. Try NGK they are the only ones I put in my various motors ever since a champion decided it wanted to self destruct and take a hole from my piston with it.
  2. But it would fit in so well she might not even notice a fourth truck roaming the yard. Just paint it like the mack and never park them next to each other.
  3. This guy would fit right in with that fleet. https://lexington.craigslist.org/hvo/6110323515.html
  4. Ah the blue one already has my initials on it. Nice looking trucks, good luck with the sale.
  5. I am guessing the freightliner has a chopped top. How much was taken out?
  6. Fuel mileage, no one worries about fuel mileage driving something like that. I would calculated it in how much I rotated the earth to move my many tons of cargo. One has to love triple cylinder lifts. Good luck with the sale.
  7. For some reason I think a giant mouth would look good painted right where the yellow 0050 is on the front. It already has a nose so why no go with it.
  8. It went for a fairly high price considering the looks of it. $3,691
  9. If someone tried that with my F-model they had better hope I didn't catch them.
  10. Voted and for once my choice succeeded.
  11. yep, only the finest 5" pipe that was kicking around in the shop at the time and just had to have the flappers. Good news though, the mack is staying put . Now happly holding down the back yard at the new house. Situations have turned for the better and now it can await its well deserved new parts. Hopefully I can either get my cdl or figure out a way to use it without a cdl. (any insight ??)
  12. I am just putting some thought into things lately as I don't have a CDL and hate to see this just sitting in the back yard only to be driven in circles once or twice a week. I have two more sets of the wide tires and rims (385/65r22.5) if anyone could use them.
  13. What would the value be of a set up like this? It runs , rolls and stops but I wouldn't say road its road trip ready. -All new fuel, oil and coolant lines on the engine. Just considering options at this point.
  14. All I know is that as far out as 2020 there isn't any plans for anything but 12 volt systems on all standard cars and trucks at Ford. Even the new Ford Cargo semi in Europe is 12 volts as far as everything I have worked on goes.
  15. 100db that is a bit on the loud side for road trips, ear plug time . i must be getting old
  16. You would seriously have to work to roll something that low and on tracks over.
  17. Nice truck those old Willys are a habit that grow on you . My 58 fc170 has led to many a purchase of jeep/Willys parts.
  18. I have two pair of wide Dayton steer rims with old 385/65r22.5 tires on them (still holding air with little/some tread). One pair is a slightly different off set than the other. $50 obo a pair located in Constantine Michigan. (near kalamazoo) (I took the third set in the pictures (middle row in first picture) and put them on my F-model. They had the largest offset/ stick out and make an additional "step" for getting in and out )
  19. It is a work in progress. I am hoping for a vintage air set up eventually when I get it all rust replaced and the glass put back in.
  20. I am lucky enough to own one. 1958 fc-170, 307 Chevy power to original 3 speed, hydraulic dump bed. Soon to have 1 ton axles and disk brakes all around. I prefer to stop vs kinda stop.
  21. Well the weather should be just about perfect for the install this weekend.
  22. Not a fan of the new format either.
