  1. I am having issues finding a replacement coolant filter for my 237. The one that came off it is to rusted to see any part numbers. The issue is I tried the Mack 25MF435B (WIX 24428) which has smaller threads than the WIX 24429 yet the threaded hole is still to large. Was there an even smaller threaded coolant filter for some of these engines? If so anyone have a part number? Thanks
  2. Not connected just though someone might be interested. http://centralmich.craigslist.org/bar/5251287357.html

  4. Yep I'll try to get over there this weekend and see if I can crawl over it . Any excuse to poke around old equipment. And it is only 5 miles away

  7. If it was an issue why did my f-model come factory with an oil bath and a turbo 237? Either way my oil bath defiantly not getting put back on.

  9. This the yellow truck your talking about Vladislav?
  10. How about this 300 and 6 speed 266k miles $1,500 , shouldn't be to far from you and might be worth taking a look. Still in a 1986 mack DM so you could run it before buying. https://columbus.craigslist.org/hvo/5188302440.html
  11. Look into solving the zero fender issue on my f model. I like this kind of diamond plate look. What ever style I end up with will most likely be fabricated as I don't want chrome or plastic and those seem to be the only options to purchase. In building a set what kind of clearances should there be to avoid tire rub? What are the advantages and drawback of each type (1/4 fender, 1/2 fender, full fender) and what type trailers are generally used with each?
  12. From the album: f-model

This seems a bit wide for space between the tires. I reused the 10.00-20 spacer rings though so I assume it is fine? It has about 3 fingers of clearance .
  13. Yeah, I did it mainly to keep it from sinking in in my yard . The looks and "step" are added bonuses.
  14. Ok , but just incase here is a picture with the original stack on it.
  15. Proven again don't believe everything you see on ebay I guess.
  16. Could shove this combo in there. 300 and a 6 speed http://www.ebay.com/itm/MACK-300-Maxidyne-Diesel-Engine-COMPLETE-TURNS-FREE-w-6SPD-TRANS-R690-/321856666274?hash=item4af026faa2&vxp=mtr
  17. But where is the adventure in buying one that is already done. I guess that it comes down to whether one wants a project to tinker on and have the pride of restoring or just fork out the cash for one that is done.
  18. I am all over that, we will see what it ends up at. Thanks
