  1. how much did yours run rowdy. i am also in the market for a dash cam
  2. i hope not that is a headache i don't need right now
  3. my trailer is going to be needing a alignment, its off tracking a bit to the side i got hit on. talked to my insurance company they talked to his sounds like everything is going to be good to go. the kinda screwed up thing is there was a cop just barely 2-3 car lengths ahead of me in the left lane i was in the right lane when it happened. the cop just kept on driving despite me flashing my lights at him and blowing the horn trying to get his attention as he drove off. after thinking about it today what i think happened is he was not paying attention (obviously) saw headlights coming and just started pulling out as soon as the headlights passed not even noticing the trailer behind.
  4. so i am waiting at a tire shop for them to open in the morning. having trouble falling asleep. had someone run a red light and try to drive under my trailer tonight. i think its time to get a dash cam. the other car was deemed at fault and ticketed. only damage to my truck was it blew out the front passenger side trailer tire. i was on the main 4 lane highway driving threw a green light when i heard a bang and felt a tiny bump first thought was that i had blown a tire. look in the mirror and see the car being spit out. i guess he tryed making a right hand turn into the same space my trailer was occupying. after cops arrived i guess the driver of the other car kept trying different ways to say it was my fault from what the cop said at one point he was saying that i was speeding but the cop said there would have been nothing left of his car if i was speeding.
  5. i did see a ch with a midroof sleeper model kit on e-bay once. i looked at it because i have thought of making a model of my vision and noticed the mid roof sleeper and clicked on it but it was a ch not a vision. all the vision sleeper models iv seen are high rise sleepers witch is kinda odd to me as most the visions you see on the road are midroofs. i just looked for it and i could not find it again

(just pay separate shipping and handling fee)
  7. i couldn't tell you, i have a 4500w inverter so i never looked at how much it draws. it does not seem to draw much. ill see if i can figure out what it draws with the compressor running, i would guess its probably similar to most mini fridges 1-200 watts cont, but probably 3-400 surge when the compressor kicks in here is a link to the product description http://www.menards.com/main/kitchen-appliances/refrigerators/shop-all-refrigerators/criterion-reg-3-1-cu-ft-double-door-compact-refrigerator-with-top-freezer/p-2350707-c-7216.htm
  8. my old fridge was real small no freezer and was about on its last legs i wanted to find a fridge with a separate top freezer with the drivers side cabinet removed lots of room to put a good size fridge in. so i was doing some driving around today getting a few odd and ends as well as looking at mini fridges. i come across one at menards for $160 measurements said it would fit quite nicely in the truck decent size top freezer i decide to go ahead and get it. take it out of the front of the store. look at the car look at the box dohh. try putting it in the trunk no go. try putting it in the front seat no go. was about to take it back inside to leave it there while i go and get one of the pickups but then figured out how to make it work. fits almost like it was made for the truck runs nice and quite, so far pretty happy. we will give it the torture test this year and see how it holds up but so far i like it.
  9. unfortunately what has been seen cannot be unseen
  10. im pretty sure its meant to be a gag gift. very smart of the marketing people. empty package a little print sell wholesale for 1.00 each cost to make .01 each
  11. i would not be worried about it will never make it past the pickup screen.
  12. i don't know i saw this and now i think im going to apply to cre i hope they will take me http://www.youtube.com/embed/XSoO_B82DDg
  13. i came up with 115.8 mph 2150 rpm using .73:1 transmision ratio 2.93 rear end ratio and 19.2 as the loaded tire radius witch is what i came up with on a online search for 11r22.5's used this online cacluator found threw a quick internet search http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_speed_rpm.htm
  14. i have never been a fan of that style crimp connectors even covered they are prone to corrosion. i will ocasionally use them on interior stuff and even then i pack them with some silicone and then put shrink wrap on them. i know yours isnt going to be a everyday working truck so it will probably be fine but id probably still try to squirt some silicone up the backside of the crimp connectors and smear a little on the front side before you cover everything up.
  15. iv got a few story's when i was about 18 i had a fox body mustang 5 speed some aluminum aftermarket heads cam headers straight piped dumped out the side in front of the rear wheels. never spent the money for proper tires but my bet et in the 1/4 was 12.95 at beach bend raceway on all season radials spinning pretty much the entire 60' and it would really light them up on a asphalt road. one day i was out on some back country hwy killing a little time pull up to a stop sign and dump the clutch matt it bang shift it into 2nd lit up all the way threw second bang shift into third keeping the tires spinning probably 70 feet into 3rd then lift. look in the rear view mirror to check out my trail of smoke and see flashing lights coming ripping threw my smoke cloud. look down at my speedo im at about 50mph. instantly pull over. cop comes up to the window smoke still rolling out from inside the car. cop asks "you out hot roding it a bit" my reply "yes sir but im out here on a back road not trying to hurt anyone or anything like that and i don't think i exceeded the speed limit" (road was marked 55) basically in short after a ass chewing the cop let me going basically saying "if i ever catch you driving this car like this again on public roads you will be arrested for reckless driving and public endangerment." ran from the cops once in a datsun 280zx and got away after being seen by a motorcycle cop drag racing someone on the street. i never had a single ticket till i moved to nd then i learned very quickly nd cops are very ticket happy. i do have a video of my jag @ about 125 ish mph. its supposed to have a top speed around 150ish but i lost my nerve and there was a bump sign coming up in the road. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4kUO8grbsI
  16. cool pic thanks for sharing
  17. i agree with that and add the new dodge dart i thought was rather disappointing as well.
  18. we had about 85 miles at 75mph speed limit the 2 lanes were 65mph for the most part other than when you pass threw the small towns. the others did another 200 miles round trip at 75. basically there from 100 miles the other way of me off the interstate so i jumped in with them when they came threw. and jumped back off on the way back when we came threw. all together with all the stops it was about 8 hours for me its kinda nice to see other car guys that actually drive there cars. so many keep them in the garage and trailer them to shows or just keep them in the garage and look at them. i bet i was probably the most comfortable for the drive though...lol the jag is a dream to drive quiet good power you feel the road but absorbs the bumps well good fuel range comfortable seats automatic climate control. iv done 1000 miles in a day in it before and really didn't even feel like it.
  19. i didn't even notice i was the only non gm that showed up today....lol i did notice i was the only foreign car. there was a Chevy camero. a Chevy monte carlo. Cadillac sedan, and apparently my friend was too lazy to pull any of his classic cars out of moth balls so he drove his 6.0L Pontiac g8 witch is still a pretty cool car despite looking kinda plain imo.
  20. well i was invited out on a car club run by a friend of mine for this weekend and i decided to go. weather was not very nice so the showing wasn't very good on and off rain showers and high winds, was still a enjoyable drive though. as long as i have lived in north Dakota i have never taken a drive down the enchanted highway to checkout the metal sculptures. put about 250 miles on the jag today the rest of the cars all went a additional 200 miles round trip than i did.
  21. https://youtu.be/0JXDcJQqZrA almost the project cars on roadkill are pretty low buck. the nicer project cars are the hosts personal cars. its a youtube only show for hot rod magazines youtube channel. not a big budget show but much more entertaining than the big budget shows.
  22. roadkill is awesome i found it last year and always anxiously await the next episode. this last episode was a bit of a letdown though.
