  1. Must have been a hell of an RV at one time. nice staircase for the passenger
  2. We've gained 3 grandchildren in the last 2 years, all girls no boys but the oldest has turned out to love anything with a steering wheel. Trucks and farm tractors are her favorite. Looks like I'll have a truck show buddy after all. She got super excited when she saw this in the driveway.
  3. I'm pretty sure the restaurant had it attached to the end of the salad bar. I remember seeing photos of Rich taking it out of the building after taking the storefront apart.
  4. Permanent Thomas attraction near us. Owner used to be somewhat active in antique trucks but I think running Edaville would be enough to do. http://www.edaville.com/thomas-land
  5. Thats why I was curious about how much it would cost to fly Paul andMal to Boston
  6. Actually that's pretty much the way I'm doing this. I'm going to pull the tek screws out as I tack weld. Ive got a plywood pattern to get the other side the same and to use to drill mounting holes in the bed sides
  7. Lots of shrinking, stretching and bending. First fender is ready for some welding going to need a couple of relief cuts at the top corners, time to start on the second one. it looks so much easier on the Discovery Channel, 10 minutes on an english wheel and they have a whole new fender.
  8. It's Kevin All's, he remounted it earlier this year, now it looks like this.
  9. Maybe I can get Paul and Mal to fly over to do the cab while I do the frame. How much is airfare from Australia anyway?
  10. Yup Your'e my sister! your'e my sister!
  11. Yeah probably not worth much overseas even for drivetrain parts with the Scania and all
  12. Went and looked a 1980 R400 today Scania with RT613. Comes with extra Motor and transmission. Unfortunately it spent time as a plow and sander truck. Needs a frame, raingutter and roof repair and rocker panels. I wish I had the ambition for this. I really want a single axle R model dump but this probably isn't the way to go about it. He's asking $3500 for everything. It'll probably end up on a boat.
  13. Sort of like a mullet, business in the front party in the back
  14. When you took a left off the main road and then a right onto Foster St. which Nissen's was on my house was the second one on the right but I didn't buy it until 1989 long after you left. When I bought the house, my mother commented that there were tractor trailers going up and down the street. I was like aaand? whats the problem?
  15. Used to live about 5 houses from Nissen in Brockton
  16. A little more progress. Made up the lower rear panel and figured out that I need to add a 4" extension to the rear fenders. So out came the shrinker, tedious as hell but it seems to be working. The real trick will be making both fenders the same.
