  1. Joe When did the power problem show up?If it showed up around the time of the rebuild I would be suspecting the wrong cam key was installed ,there are three cam key selections. Not sure which key was to be used for the 427 but this could be the problem. How ever there are other places the intake can leak the air compressor inlet and intake gaskets is another possible place the hose on the air compressor inlet is a comon leak on some models of truck CV model this was quite common if the comp is plumbed to the inlet manifold check this out.
  2. I like green myself, But not sure if its that great for the system with all the heat !as for the screen Maybe every to years or so duno maybe 68 has an opinion!
  3. Ya don't just flip the switch while moving thats for sure !Seen lots of mangled idlers for sure! Ya can replace em in the truck but it aint easy,Ya need to stop then switch If I had a truck and seen my driver fliping the switch rollin I'd kick him . Best dump truck trans going in my opinion!Nice selection, If ya got a long way to go in reverse it sure is nice to get ater and go!
  4. Joe Ya should tell em to check for boost leaks check the air cleaner ect if the pyro gets that hot that fast its not likly getting enough air!

  24. Hey Ed I have found it best to put two orings on that one in the groove one above,( I'm not positive of the number) Also have found that you pretty much got to remove the fill tube from the block and start from scratch to aline everything properly And to be double sure I fill the cavity above the oring with hi heat! silcone Tighten turbo drain and block bolts lightly till seated then snug up! Just an observation!
