  1. Does the 1939 harness use a terminateing 60 ohm resister at the end of the harness which on a freightliner will be located in the frame near the trans?
  2. I saw a injector line stopped up about two years ago.
  3. Check the rack to make sure it will move.If it is stuck you don't want it to start.

  9. You will not know how much its going to cost till you open it up and find out what parts you need. Some times its cheaper to exchange for a factory rebuilt.
  10. I had a E6 doing that at one time until I changed the rockers from another engine. So to me that means the selnoilds was leaking thru when shut off. This engine would be idling fine and then start to lightly pop thru the exhaust also.
  11. We could all wish for the borders to be closed and we get a new president.Wouldnt that help.
  12. No the problem is that in 1 2 3 and 5 gears the power goes thru the counter shafts. In 4th gear the main box is in direct. In direct it pulls straight thru the main box. That tells you the input gear has ground the teeth off of it and not pulling thru the counter shaft gears. Most cases is the trans has run out of lub and burned the drive gear which is input and the front gears on the countershafts gears.Has nothen to do with rear box. To check after finding no lub in the trans you can pull the large pto cover off of bottom and see the counter shaft front gears. There will also be teeth laying in the bottom of the main box.
  13. I have a round Davis bed with hi lift and one thing I like about it is when hauling asphalt it is easy to lift the gate and then clean or inspect or just to spray oil into the bed when hauling that sticky stuff.I lift it and have a short latter with me and get in there with a shovel to clean out before loading asphalt. If I was to buy another one it would have a hi lift just for the ease of getting up in it.I don't like falling on the ground from climbing over as much as I did years back.
  14. Reason for the double spline axle shaft is when you haul over loaded the axle housing will flex.Or bend and this will keep the one piece axle leaking at the hub because it has to flex also. You cant understand this until you are around some heavy haulers and find that the axle gasket leaks often. with the double spling it does not have the load on the axle cap as much.I has seen the one piece axle taken out and the double axle and cap installed in its place.I am sure it had 5/8 studa with cones on them.
  15. What color and were are you at?

  18. Just remember something that i found to be true 50 years ago.Two things in life people lie about more than any thing else is fuel mileage and their sex life.
  19. Remove the turbo and cap the oil pressure line and then run for a while and see if the oil is coming out of the manifold.May not be the turbo.
  20. And our president wants to limit our military.
  21. On a 60s the updated pan uses different bolts and insolators so ask for the mounting hardware. The parts man that sold you that may have not known. The gasket is different also.It will be black instead gray.
  22. And if we didn't have lawyers we would not need them.
