  1. Well that stinks.
  2. I love gardening.
  3. I'm just glad I wasn't there when she was learning how to do that. I think the circumstances would be a bit to intimate for my liking.
  4. Yes and if it's not a law, it should be.
  5. Yeah I didn't see this coming. I almost crapped myself, but that was earlier today and for no particular reason. Looks good Vinny!
  6. I thought those were the buns and the water dog was placed inside them?
  7. When do the bottles begin to sprout?
  8. It's still nice and clean. Do you know what size the tires are?
  9. So it's purpose was to house additional gauges that weren't part of the standard cluster. I guess optional could also be an unofficial name for it.
  10. Nice work! You got my vote and I got something else to do on the internet that will keep me from doing what I should be doing.
  11. I have no experience with that particular seat but if I'm understanding the height adjustment correctly, it's a good choice for an R model. I'm not one for sitting on or near the floor but when I drove an R model, the proper amount of air in the seat for my weight had me positioned higher than I would like. Add an exterior visor to that and I would have to be 40 feet from a traffic light to be able to see it without leaning over the steering wheel. I was thinking a low profile seat (shorter base) would would be the solution, but separate height and weight adjustments might be a better way to solve the problem.
  12. I was sent a PM by Doubleclutchinweasel regarding the dash with the angled gauges. Neither of us were able to update the original topic, so here's a copy of the PM: I couldn't post to the old thread you started some time back related to the angle-gage-equipped center-mounted instrument panel. Too old, I guess. To close this for good, I did find a reference to the "different" dash in the R-model in my factory service manual. They referred to it as an "auxiliary" gage panel, I believe. But, if it's in the factory manual, that pretty much makes it a factory part! So, yes! It WAS a factory dash option. Kent
  13. I only come out at night. The Watt's driver would be out of the Pittsburgh terminal. There is a short section of 22, from 66 east about a mile or 2, that has a Greensburg address, Because of that, the freight goes to the Washington terminal and we send a driver up from town even though Pittsburgh has more than 1 truck passing there daily.
  14. Dammit that's tomorrow, I'll have to play it by ear. That was the first show I went to in Western PA, maybe 10 years ago. Only a handful of trucks, but the Trolley Museum helped make it a fun visit, even for my then, very young daughters.
  15. As soon as you mentioned Cressona I thought of that R model. I think it made the rounds on Ebay more than once. That's quite a collection of history there.
  16. I'm guessing it was laced with expletives and included the words dumbass and fired. If that were me, I would be rocking in the cab trying to get it to go back down so I could drive off, hoping no one noticed. This way, I could go back to the shop and hear the words dumbass and fired first hand.
  17. Excellent news! It must feel great to get back into your routine.
  18. I concur only with Other Dog's post. It does look good overall for the price, but they're off a few decades on the transmission type.
  19. I was concerned at first when I thought Ben was posting that, but I guess your Dad won't mind. Just in case he does mind however, I won't tell a soul, YOUR SECRET IS SAFE WITH ME! Note to self, call grandpa Jumper BTW, thanks for the offer to help, but I'll be laying this one solo. Floor humor. Ya gotta love it! A clarification: them's "Dirtwater Dogs". The ingredients of the hot dog are the least of your worries, but damn they taste good.
  20. Great story, complete with a happy ending. I lived in Westbury, Long Island until I was 8 and they also had a B model. I assume it was similar, if not identical, to the Baldwin truck, but it was too long ago for me to recall any details. All I remember is the open cab and the light mounted above the windshield.
  21. Happy Birthday!
  22. Nice videos and pictures. I've only been through Horseshoe Curve on an Amtrak which in itself is a nice experience, but I've never made it there for a visit.
  23. That Marmon is hot!..Dammit I did it again. Is the girl's car in the shop or sumthin? And where is her phone? Nice double-catch on the MH. We would both have to be parked for me to get a shot of that quality.
  24. Beautiful B and RD, but that R tractor is absolutely gorgeous! "Honey......you busy?......"
