  1. H67, Yes and no.. Both were made by Scheller Globe and are basically the same .. There are differences in the cowl area so it would take some "Yankee Ingenuity" to make them fit.. A visit to the Brockway website can give you some more details.
  2. I know we saw a small herd grazing along the Alcan Highway somewhere between Whitehorse and Fort Nelson on our way home from Alaska.
  3. Vlad The Buffalo or proper name Bison are native to the northern Plains. The basic staple of food for the native Plains Indians. Both wild and domesticated.. That herd looks farm raised.. Their meat is similar to Beef but leaner and lower in cholesterol. Some farms even cross breed them.. I am sure B Mack can give us a better explanation
  4. ERF's and Atkinsons. The funny looking boxy ones with a circle A in the grille!!
  5. I agree HG!! That man has some neat stuff.. Is the furthermost car in that line a prewar Caddy??
  6. Here is a link to some pictures of mostly 70's era Australian trucks. The KW model designation SAR stood for Short Australian Right hand drive. Mack had an Australian outfit Reinforced Plastic making fiberglass F model cabs and some other companies (Leader??) also used them. International AU and Chrysler AU had a long and interesting relationship, early IH used the Dodge Pilot House cab and later Dodges used the IH A line cab! https://www.hcvc.com.au/forum/OldTruck/16820-overlander-s-old-photos?limitstart=0
  7. Paul, Excellent work and thanks much for taking the time to make and post all the videos.
  8. Charlie, Paul Nailed it!! He is on the North side not the South.. Are you in Maine on a work project with time to kill?? After Erv passed away Daryl bought like 150 of Erv's trucks, So one will have the others phone numbers to make contact. Going to try to post a couple of links so you can see his barn before and after. http://forums.justoldtrucks.com/99086/The-Erv-Bickford-Collection?PageIndex=3
  9. Charlie, he is in New Glouster which does not show on the atlas.. I think He is just south of Portland and inland a ways. While you are in the area stop in Yarmouth and visit the Erv Bickford Collection. The city park part by the RR tracks is open 24/7 but you have to call them to get into his shop and display barn about a 1/2 mile away on another street.
  10. Does the governor plunger shaft have a screwdriver slot and a lock nut on it, under the rubber cover??? If so play with it... also if you decide to take it apart and clean the inside bore, be sure to take to inlet air line off first, before you pop the snap ring out.. Ask me how I know!!!!! I have done several roadside "rebuilds"
  11. Frost line!!
  12. There is a man by the name of Randy Sally over on the Brockway website sometimes..
  13. B Mack: Are these contrails actually visible jet exhaust or are they water condensation from the warm jet?? It seems like you only see them under certain atmospheric conditions?? I do not know!! Just tossing the question out at more knowledgeable people.. I remember one evening at our terminal in Indy, about dusk, looking west we counted 21 contrails between St Louis and Chicago. The sun was just right and you could pick out a silver dot at the beginning of some of them.
  14. Hobert Since your boys are that enthusiastic turn them loose on their friends. I am sure they will come up with another parent to drive the chase car!!
  15. Jim You are a much better photographer than I am.. I appreciate all you picture posting. Thanks Brocky
  16. No blue hearts or baby bulldogs, so I will just say "Thank You Tom" for all your great travel agent pictures.
  17. Sean Welcome to Big Mack Trucks.. For info about your truck, when you find the serial number send it to the Mack Museum in Allentown, along with a donation, and they will send you the build sheet, who the first owner was, manuals and any other info the have.
  18. If you are going to be doing a lot of bobtailing I would consider bracket which had more lights in them so you have a little more visibility that just the required 2 stop/turn on the rear.
  19. As Confucius said "Haste makes waste"
  20. Swishy Thanks for the videos..
  21. DD Needless to say, parking at best would be described as f**ked up!!! Thanks to what the Iowa State Fairboard left ATHS to work with..
  22. Our condolences to you and your family.. Our prayers will be for all of you. Nelle and Brocky
  23. A good looking clean truck. Probably cleaned up good enough for a regional museum?? Plainsman said he was donating to a museum. I presume that he just needs a value for tax purposes? Therefore he can go on the high side, unless he is expecting an IRS audit!! I personally have no idea. Jim Hancock, Superdog, 41 Chevy, Mackdaddy, Maint1, Maddog13407?? Someone should be able to toss out a ballpark figure..
  24. I am even further out than OD.. 7 miles to the post office and nearest small convenience store, 15 miles to Wally World and drug store, 25 to Lowes, etc and a strip mall. And 55 acres to piss in out the back door.. LOVE IT!!!!!
