We went to this farm just a couple of miles from here and had some taken Sunday afternoon. The pictures came out good, but I'm a bit peed off- I don't understand why she cropped me out of the pictures and put this old fat guy in them- all of them! I'm gonna give her a piece of my mind when it's time to pay her for them! You know what my uncle Buck used to say- "it's all good, some is just better than others". Not too many people came though, but it was a good time. Zina's new '55 Ford pickup was delivered too. Messenger_creation_94184329-3DD2-4123-B6CF-9750EB35B2D4.mp4 I hated to leave the pot on the stand last night, but we jarred the last 11 quarts at dark. Then we brought them in and put them in the canner and canned it before we went to bed. Had to do it in 2 batches because they all wouldn't fit in the canner. It seemed like a lot, until I put it in the stew pot. Then it doesn't look like it even has any meat in it. That's a 9 gallon pot, and I put a gallon of diced tomatoes, a gallon each of crushed tomatoes, corn, lima beans, peas, a 5 lb. bag of potatoes, and a 3 lb. bag of onions. And 2 small cans of carrots. I put a bag of frozen green beans out of our garden in it too. I usually boil it out after I clean it, then dump it and coat it with Crisco again. Oh, the new Zinamobile- almost forgot 😁. It's got a 351M and C4 transmission out of a '78 Mercury Cougar in it. Runs great, her only issue is the lack of power steering but I think she can get used to it.
