Replacing Front Brake Shoes, Slack Adjusters, Brake Chambers, Wheel bearings and wheel seals. Mine looks just like yours. I had a hard time finding the right stemco gritguard seals because I have the 10,500lb axle instead of the more common 12,000lb axle. Finally found some on ebay. Got everything installed today and ready to put the tires back on tomorrow. mowerman Posted October 19 Author Share Posted October 19 I’ll be looking for seal kit soon. I haven’t done anything about it yet. We have a fleet guard right here in town. I’ve had pretty good luck finding everything for that thing so far the boys back east telling me it’s still a good number. Let’s see what happens. possibly tomorrow I gotta run out to the eye doctor. So likely the wear ring has been discontinued because the original seal design was also. CR makes a "seal saver" ring when the original spindle area has been damaged. This is different (thinner) then the old Stemco "wedding band" and is a last resort for repairing damaged spindles. Get a modern unitized seal and be done with it.
