Always Up - Autocar Trucks

Recommended Posts

Hard to believe it but this truck is almost 30 years old. Yes, our #FlashbackFriday is a tasty 1990 Autocar ACLB64 dump sent in by Daylan Nelson.

Time to kick back after a hard day's work and enjoy the evening, Daylan.

Our July centerfold - er - truck of the month is this beach babe from Clearwater, Florida, soaking up that amazing sunset across the Gulf of Mexico. Time for a mojito. 🌴🍸 #Paradise #AwesomeAutocar

In California there are plenty of Autocar cabover #rolloff trucks, like this #CNG-powered ACX. The ACX has the tightest turning radius to handle all those tricky pickup locations. Athens Services driver, Benjamin Marcial Gil, snapped this shot at their Sun Valley, CA MRF.

They were never big seller's in Australia, however considering how few would have been sold a surprisingly large amount seem to have survived

And it's even more surprising considering the extreme conditions a lot were operated under

When you're thinking of buying a new truck, keep this in mind: 20 years ago, Rick Armstrong bought his 1987 Autocar DK with a 350 Cummins and he's still making money with it today. Thanks for sharing, Rick.

It's a nice day to pour the foundation for a new Costco store - just park your Autocar ACX in the middle of the pad and reach the entire 360 foundation without budging. #AutocarConcrete #AlwaysUp

The old cab inherited from the White RX was kinda scrunched, so Autocar made the wide version standard and squared up the slanted back panel to get a bit more room there too.

Have you heard every Autocar truck is custom-engineered? True now, true when this one-of-a-kind 1958 DC-105 was built for Gilbane Building Co. in Rhode Island. Now, who can tell us about that badass shovel?

Thanks to Mike Lusher.
