Like everything else Obummer has done what HE wanted to or turned a blind eye to. Benghazi, IRS targeting, border jumpers, Islamic terrorists, Iran deal, all the lies that came with Obummer care, deliberately causing racial tension and division and the list could literally fill a page. Wasn't this SUPPOSED to be the most transparent party ever

It is transparent!! Most of us can see through all his crap.

Unfortunately only about 50% of us do, he was elected twice!

We worked as monitors at the polls for the last election, something I never did before. We know many of the people who voted and know for a fact they did not vote for Obama. When the votes were announced the turn out for Obama was not what was true. We had 100% voting for him. The head of the election board simply stated that the "computers don't lie". On polling place in Glen Cove where a friend worked has a 115% turn out for Obama. Never knew you could have more than a 100% of the people vote!

Until the Electoral College is eliminated the vote is just a feel good thing for the masses.

The past election was a fraud and so will this one coming, especially with the changes that were made to the Electoral College by this Administration. Paul

Now Hillary's camp is going to drag still-wet-behind-the-ears diplomat Caroline Kennedy (ambassador to Japan) into this under the "2 wrongs make a right" rule, in a futile attempt at getting experienced veteran Hillary off the hook. They won't admit that Hillary's sinking ship now has too many holes to plug.

Anyone that is against the electoral college system, doesn't understand it . It's brilliant! The founding fathers we great men! - Tom

The majority of Americans want the Electoral College eliminated, and replaced with a national popular (direct) vote. However the ruling aristocracy behind the veil will of course never allow that to happen.

The EC is a very good thing! If we didn't have it, there would never be a Republican president again. If we elected our president solely on the popular vote, the candidates would only campaign in the big states and only in the city. Smaller states would be rendered irrelevant. The inner city vote is almost completely Democrat.

eliminate the electoral collage = hand the country to the freeloaders

People would not be so bitter to the E/C if they showed integrity and followed the rules. Most of these state laws generally assert that an elector shall cast his or her vote for the candidates who won a majority of the state's popular vote or for the candidate of the party that nominated the elector.

Over the years, however, despite legal oversight, a number of electors have violated their state's law binding them to their pledged vote. However, these violators often only face being charged with a misdemeanor or a small fine, usually $1,000. Many constitutional scholars agree that electors remain free agents despite state laws and that, if challenged, such laws would be ruled unconstitutional. Therefore, electors can decline to cast their vote for a specific candidate (the one that wins the popular vote of their state), either voting for an alternative candidate, or abstaining completely. In fact, in the 2000 election, Barbara Lett-Simmons, an elector for the District of Columbia, cast a blank ballot for president and vice president in protest of the District's unfair voting rights. When it comes down to it, electors are ultimately free to vote for whom they prersonally prefer, despite the general public's desire. This inconsistency allows for discrepancies in our electoral system. The electors from more then half of the states can vote however they wish, regardless of the popular will of the state. In the founding of our nation, the Electoral College was established to prevent the people from making "uneducated" decisions. The founders feared uneducated public opinion and designed the Electoral College as a layer of insulation from the direct voice of the masses. There is no reason, in this modern day, to assign this responsibility to a set of individual electors. Hundreds of thousands of votes can and have been violated by an individual elector, choosing to act on his or her own behalf instead of the behalf of the people. In the 2008 election, 51 electors did not cast their votes for the candidates who they were designated to represent by the popular vote.

FIX IT.

The election process including the electoral college is a "show", designed to give the masses the illusion that they are participating in government.

The founding fathers of our country were amongst the small group of wealthy and schooled aristocracy in the thirteen English colonies that felt the uneducated commoners were unqualified to participate in government. Rather than allow the masses to direct vote, the founding fathers created the Electoral College, ensuring that a proper choice was made for president and vice-president (by the aristocracy behind the veil).

The founding fathers enticed the commoners (mass population) of the English colonist to join together in a revolutionary war for independence by promising them the ability to participate in government. However they didn’t really mean it and, at that time, were quite concerned that should they gain independence, the commoners would hold them to their promises. Much to their relief, that never happened. Under the illusion that they had a say in government, the ignorant commoners for the most part fell in line and allowed the founding fathers to run the show.

(To gain an accurate picture of our beginning, I encourage you to read "Independence: The Struggle to Set America Free", by John Ferling - http://www.amazon.co...s=independence)

Fast forwarding to today, ponder if you will a select group of modern day aristocracy actually managing the country behind the veil.

this requires some research not sure any actual changes have been made but i`m sure its being attempted

The National Popular vote bill has been going through the states. Each state much vote on following it.

The bill will guarantees the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in the entire United States. The bill preserves the Electoral College, while ensuring that every vote in every state will matter in every presidential election.

So far the states that have passed the bill are New York, Rhode Island, Hawaii, California, Massachusetts , Washington DC, New Jersey, Illinoios , Washington State, Vermont, Oklahoma, Wisconson and Oregon. It has passed the State Assemblies and is up for the vote in the State Senates in Ohio, Florida, Iowa, Tennessee, Arizona and Virginia.

It will even up the swing states, battle ground states with the balance of the states.
