Thank you for posting Paul! I wish that all Americans would take the time to remember all who made the ultimate sacrifice on this date 70 years ago,and know their loss was not in vain,we as a country owe a great deal of debt to our service men/women,both past and present. Rowdy hit it right on the nose,WW II vets are truly our Greatest Generation, never to be seen again!..................God Bless!...................Mark

Paul, thank you for posting D-Day I just got home and could not wait to thank all of our men in the military yesterday and today! But today.... Well it speaks for itself! To bad our schools today don't teach the history that really matters. We also ..today have a commander in chief that thinks D Day is dollar days! He is the bottom of the bottom and is starting to dig!

Found these photos. He has postcards from France and random WW2 of his unit.

Upper left photo is some captured Germans in white and Officers in their uniforms.

Bottom left photo is my dad behind a 50 cal. in a village.

A photo with him standing on what I believe is a 155 or 240 in the winter painted white.

My Dad could have been one of those guys in this photo, He landed there. Also became friends with a man that also landed there from my home town, just passed away 2 weeks ago at 95.

Live every day like it's your last, because one of these days, it will be.
