Mack EJ questions?

Recommended Posts

It was used in EH and EQ models as well. Continental sold lots of engines to other manufacturers but I don't know all the applications for it.

Parts can be found for them. May take a little hunting and some $. Not easy like 350 Chevy parts but not hen's teeth either.

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.

An acquaintance recently rebuilt his. The only part he had a really hard time finding was a new drive gear for the distributor which he eventually located in NY.

I have an old continental flat head out of one of Smith's old Mack's. I don't know what kind of shape it is in but would be willing to sell it. I can check if you want. Mike

Previous owner installed an IH Red Diamond 450 over 40 years ago,my friend who bought the truck may keep it that way???Let me know about the engine anyways Mike,he may want to get it...Thanks

REF Continental engines: You can get some good answers on the Brockway Trucks.org site. I believe that there is a shop in the Utica NY area which rebuilds them and there is also a parts supply place in the Chicago area.
