If it were up to me, it would be getting new rails stretched to accommodate a lift axle and then it would get an in-frame rebuild and be ready for another 30 years of service.

Oh.man I hope he does that to the truck it looks too  road worthy  yet a little coin and your tlc it would last 30 years and be more dependable nthe the new ones yea I like my RD

I had the R out on its maiden voyage this morning to pick up a backhoe.  Actually rides surprisingly smooth with weight on it. It needs a drivers seat really badly though.

Very nice R; I like the superliner too; but the R is my favorite

Sitehauling, does that Hayward tractor still exist? I swear I have seen it before.

That Hayward tractor was cut up 30 years ago but there is a twin in North Jersey. I have pictures somewhere. I’ll try to dig them up and post them here.
