Even if it's patched the rest of the rails are spread really badly. It's up to the boss to decide it's fate. I had the R out on its maiden voyage this morning to pick up a backhoe. Actually rides surprisingly smooth with weight on it. Expand If it were up to me, it would be getting new rails stretched to accommodate a lift axle and then it would get an in-frame rebuild and be ready for another 30 years of service.
