If it were up to me, it would be getting new rails stretched to accommodate a lift axle and then it would get an in-frame rebuild and be ready for another 30 years of service.

I had the R out on its maiden voyage this morning to pick up a backhoe.  Actually rides surprisingly smooth with weight on it. It needs a drivers seat really badly though.

Very nice R; I like the superliner too; but the R is my favorite
