  1. Welcome. That is a real truck.
  2. I really like this truck. Someday when I get a lot of money I hope to buy one. In the early photos the air cleaner is on the left. The other photo has it on the right. Was this done due to an engine change ? Do you know what the original engine and trans. were ?
  3. What is story on the four headlights ? This is the only B 85 I have seen from the front. All the other B 80 series I have seen only have two. Really a neat truck.
  4. Spent most of the last two weeks on the windows and doors. Installed one new glass, window channels, glass supports, and misc parts. The new window channels I got from Watt's would not let the window roll down all the way. Had to modify them. Has anyone else had this happen.
  5. I had a similar problem on my 1961 B 61. i found a new old stock tractor protection valve but had to buy 6 to get one. I have some for sale for what I paid. If interested email or call 513 889 7777.
  6. Good question . Does Fitzgerald use Western Star and rebuilt Detroits in their kits.? Why not Macks ?
  7. Great pictures. I liked the B model with trailer and John Deere G on it.
  8. It was advertised in the Country Living monthly publication. The bed is 12 ft. Owned for about 15 yrs. by a farmer who is downsizing 1000 to 200 acres. The front end has been recently rebuilt drives straight. some wear on rear tires. Phone # 937 492 1930. Located near Sidney OH.
  9. You guys amaze me. I never noticed the electric window until he rolled it down for me.
  10. Have been looking for a dump truck for sometime. Something I could use on the farm. Found this in a local farm publication. RS688LST 1985 550,000 mi, 5540 mi on new engine., RR 9 speed trans. Do not know what engine. Was a road tractor. Asking $5000. I think I will pass on it. More truck than I need. Any thoughts.
  11. Replacing the broken window on the truck noticed some parts were missing. Need the washers or guides and clip. I think Restoration Specialties may have a clip that will work. Thanks for any help.
  12. I read something similar somewhere. " With enough time, money, and parts you can make a B 61 into a Superliner ".
  13. During the early 70's I worked on the B 52 D & G models while stationed in Guam. The D models could carry more weapons as the later G models had more electronics on board which took up more space. Great planes. At Barksdale A.F.B. in Louisiana we had one of the first attempts to up date the electronics on a G model. Rivet Ace as it was called.
  14. As always enjoyed the pictures.
  15. Enjoyed the pictures. Any restrictions or special permits on a load 80" long ?
  16. I unbolted the mount from the cross member cleaned it up . Was was able to get the rubber in. The hardest part was getting the mount on the motor, I had painted the motor and had to take some paint off. With some pry bars, soap, and a rubber mallet I was able to get it on. Heating like Larry said would help. I had to drop the engine and mount down on the cross member a couple times to get the holes to line up. Evert thing stayed together. Luck I guess. I would rather be lucky than good.
  17. Great looking truck. Mine if I ask about the color of the green and type of paint ?
  18. Nice job. Good information to have as I never know when mine will break.
  19. Had a similar situation on a freightliner . Would not stay running until I put air pressure on the fuel thanks and kept it running for a few minutes under pressure.
