  1. Based on the build list that the museum sent me a few years ago there were 29 B 853s built between 1956 and 1965. MACK model production.rtf
  2. Is that the truck and trailer that were sitting at the Transportation Museum?
  3. Where did you see the red and black wrecker? There is a beautiful one up in Madison but I have never gotten a picture of it-yet.
  4. I do not completely agree with this same sex marriage thing BUT she has been hired to perform a job and is being paid to do it. I think she should be impeached!!
  5. If it were mine I would do my best to locate no ethanol gasoline to use it in and then add a treatment. Here in VA, Pure stations sell non ethanol gasoline and that is all I use in my lawn and garden equipment. After I rebuild the carb on my 1940 John Deere, that is what I will use in it.
  6. I guess you wanted Mack tranny info but in case you or some else is interested, here is a very good Fuller chart I found on their website, I think. Click on the number of gears on the bottom and a list of transmissions with those speeds and their weight and length will show. Fuller ratios & weights.xls
  7. Before I read Carl's response is what I was thinking. Your rerouted fuel line is getting too hot and the vapor is coming back into the tank.
  8. The Tri-State Show in Winchester is actually 3 days and runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday. (the 24th, 25th and 26th)
  9. UD, that is a nice looking truck and will be sharp after some elbow grease is applied. Welcome to the MH club.
  10. UD, we haven't seen any pictures yet, have we?
  11. Here is one. I don't remember what I paid for mine. IE 11 will not allow me to post the link but search like I said before and you should find it.
  12. I bought mine new on ebay but I forget how I searched for them. I think "antenna cab mount". I will see if I can find them again.
  13. I think they are the same ones I bought from them. They are good for the price.
  14. Rather than blowing air, putting a shop vac on the drain would be better.
  15. I agree with you on some points and think he is a fine man and a gentleman. He has done great work with Habitat for Humanity but I think he was a poor president and spineless. Everyone in the world spit on us and he never took any action. History will show he was a poor president.
  16. Carl, the tracks that did me in were on RT 17 between 66 and 50 where no tractor trailers are allowed and the speed limit is 45. The tracks are at the bottom of a hill near 66. Ken, I took quite a few pictures and volunteered in spectator parking from 3:30 to 6:30 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It was hot working but fortunately I never had to work until 6:30 any day.
  17. Carey, I knew it was you but I could not remember your BMT name. I searched for "Carey" but of course came up blank.
  18. Here is picture of myself at the end of the day at York. Too much walking and heat-but lots of fun.
  19. Mack probably has the greatest history/archives of any truck manufacturer. Email your VIN to the museum and you may have info back on the same day. There is a back log for paper copies. Do not forget to send them a donation. mack.museum@macktrucks.com
  20. The site will not allow me to add the quote with the names but here is the picture again.
  21. Don't keep us in suspense!! I hit a rail road crossing too fast and my CB radio fell out of my overhaed compartment. There was a warning sign that said "BUMP" but that was an understatement. The only thing it did was rip the electrical wires off the connectors and left it hanging by the antenna cable but it did NOT hit me in the head. The light weight bungee cord holding the radio in place was no match for the crossing.
  22. Gregg, I am sorry to hear about your bad experience but it is VERY good you made this post for the benefit of the reminder of us. I hope to see you in York.
