My memory was not very good after 3 months. The third line came off the bottom and side of the unit. I contacted the Mack Museum and they told me that the third line goes to the unloader on the air compressor to trigger the bleed valve on the separator. They also sent me a drawing. The museum is manned by good people and is a valuable asset. Fred

I don't think so because there is a drain directly off the bottom.

My 89 MH612 has a Con Met fuel /water separator on it. When I pressurized the fuel tank in an attempt to get it started after sitting for many years(I just bought it) I managed to blow a hole in the top of the separator. I bypassed the in and out lines with a pipe nipple but there is a third line that comes off near the center and goes toward the engine. I attempted to follow the hose but could not and the truck is not at my house. Where does that line go? Will anythng be damaged or cause a problem if I cap that line? This is a non-heated model.
