  1. I am not aware of any 30 pin connectors behind the left head light. The dash connectors definitely have the ground circuit on the pins. You get erratic lights or indications when the ground is completed through another connector. Do your MHs have the connectors behind the tach and speedo like the picture of mine above?
  2. Here is what Penske ordered in 1988. It was delivered late in 88 and titled as a 1989. It has an RTX11609B tranny.
  3. I was hoping you would come back and see my post before you spent too much time elsewhere. The last 4 digits of my VIN is 4881, what is yours? Are your indicators working ok now?
  4. My 1989 MH was doing the same strange things as yours when I drove it home after sitting for about 10 years. Take the center section of the dash out-where the tach and speedo are located. Buy some contact cleaner and clean the male and female connectors and your problem will probably be solved-mine was. I think I used Q Tips in some hard to reach areas on the connectors. My toughest problem was getting the cables off the tach and speedo. You will not have much room to pull them out but the cables will come off the back of them.
  5. Vlad, congratulations on the Visa. Rooms are probably scarce now but you might try Hawthorne Suites where some of use are staying. Their local number is 1-610-366-9422 or 1-800-527-1133. I don't know of any others off hand but others will have suggestions I am sure. Good luck with the journey and see you at Macungie.
  6. Ken, Congrats. It looks real good.
  7. 1989, E 6 300, RTX11609B, spring suspension, air passenger window and door lock, built for Penske in late 88.
  8. Be very careful about trying to crank or pull starting after putting a liquid in the cylinders. Liquids do NOT compress and something will break if much is in the cylinder. You probably know that but a reminder since no one mentioned it.
  9. This one from NC was at the White Bash in Richmond last fall. He had to put samller tires on it to slow it down but he said it cruised good at 80 MPH. That is a White farm tractor grill. I forget what cab he used but I think it was a 4000. The air bags are down in this picture but it did not have much clearance when they were up.
  10. Wouldn't a side door decrease the chances of rain getting into the trailer? If it is in the front the wind will tend to force the water into any crevice.
  11. If you drive a Detroit, do you still have to grease the fifth wheel? Just kidding-love that sound!!!
  12. I have removed the springs on my 1954WC22 White and my rear pin was the same as yours. I think on mine that pin normally had no weight on it-only when the overload springs came down on it. It also was hidden by a rubber bushing. I found the rubber bushings at 2 different spring shops. EDIT: I rechecked my springs and it had no weight on the pin because the truck has no weight on it. I don't think it has an overlaod on it???
  13. Ken, I will probably walk to Cracker Barrel, especially if I drive my MH. You are welcome to join me/us. I will try to get a dog at Yocco's too before I leave.
  14. OD, Happy Birthday. Thanks for posting the "Pictures of the Week". I hope to catch up to you some year at Macungie or Bridgewater.
  15. Ken, did the dealer have the snubber? I put some rubber washers on mine but I will buy the snubber if it is available.
  16. Fill out your location on your profile-the USA is a big place. Here in VA you can get them for about $250 installed.
  17. If you don't find any used ones, try Triangle Spring in Dubois, PA. They made 2 new leaves for my 1954 WC 22 White for about $100 each. Of course if you need the whole set, that would be pricey.
  18. My MH tank straps were in sad shape so I pulled the tank to replace 1 strap and paint the other 2. I am replaceing all the strap backing rubber and had the tank shined. I found the tank baffle was broken loose so had the end cut open and re-welded the baffle. I am about ready to reinstall the tank but do not know what value to torque the straps. I asked my Mack dealer service manager and he said he did not know there was one. Does any one know? These are 3 metal steel straps on an aluminum 120 gallon tank. Thanks.
  19. I agree with 2stack. If it is not used commercially, it must be recreational. My thought is that it may not need to be registered as an "RV" to be used as recreation. I would contact somebody in DOT and get a clarification.
  20. My wife and I have been visiting our daughter's family in Northern CA and are heading home tomorrow thru Chicago. I think we will get into Chicago ok but getting out to D.C. is questionable now. I see thousands of flights into Chicago today (Tuesday) have been cancelled.
  21. I think the backog is for mailed materials. If you request your info to be returned in an email you will get it much quicker. I had the info (7 pages) on my MH in a couple of hours last year.
  22. I do not have any big truck experience but my 89 MH buzzer sounds with the turn signals. You sure as hell will not see me going down the road with signal on because it is irritating as hell. Yours is not sounded from turn signals?
  23. The girl fixing the fence gives new meaning to "riding the rail".
  24. I am talking about the tank outlet to the crossover. I will pull the tank with the valve still on the tank and I want to plug the line when I remove it from the valve. It is tubing not hose.
