My local DOT officer told me years ago I couldn't have firearms in the truck when I inquired about the legalities of bringing my 10-22 along. I assume it's a federal law he must've been talking about when he told me that considering its in a vehicle that's regulated by FMCSR. Also don't forget many workplaces don't allow firearms in or around company property. I figured the officer knew more than I about carrying firearms in a truck. As far as research I know where I can and can't carry in my personal life, don't have to have a carry permit unless within city limits.

That's sad. Never understood why I can carry hazmat all over the US in a truck but not a pistol. In my opinion the sleeper for an OTR driver IS there home and they should be able to defend it and not be an easy target.

My first pickup was a 1958 ford 1/2t short box step side with a 223ci inline 6 and a 3 on the tree that was owned by Sno-line Tree Co. Which was a business south of Kalispell that grew Christmas trees. I have a one year medical card, it pisses me off because it's simply because of a medication I'm on but oh well.

The last 3 weeks have been miserable and cold here in eastern Montana with the highs rarely reaching the mid teens and lows -10 to -15 at night. Currently we are sitting at -28 but the silver lining is that it is supposed to start warming up to the 20's next week. Glad I'm off for a few days stay warm BMT.

Point in short, maybe it my perception but it seems when it suits your argument the news is real. All of us on here have debated over news stories. Other times like today I posted clips from the news of Hilary's many lies she got caught in and you replied ..."if what we are told is true"... I know sarcasm doesn't always come across well on a written forum but that's where the line about Hillary being framed came from. I don't believe there is a big conspiracy to make her look bad, I think her greed and corruption does that for her. I did address the trump point you brought up earlier and had a similar response as Paul.

On trump I suspect he figures he has more productive things to do in his presidency than go on a four year campaign to get Hillary thrown in jail. My hope is he gets some of these anti lobbyists, anti government purchaser that then goes to work for the private companies they once purchased from as a start to cleaning things up. Benghazi, ..."at this point what does it matter"...HC, the Clinton foundation where less than 6% of money taken in goes to the charity the rest is spent on "administration fees" and salaries. Go to guidestar.org and see for yourself. THe private server scandal where the FBI stated it is very likely she got hacked and our enemies have our classified info. She got caught wiping it clean, then got caught Red handed lying about turning over all the emails. Wiki leaks provided emails that HC was making sure with the DNC head that the fix was in for Bernie. Other emails revealed that the DOJ gave Hillary a heads up on the investigation coming her way. Hmmm I wonder why she wasn't convicted? Comparing Hillary to patreaus is not even in he same world. Patreaus screwed up paid the price and didn't give us hillarys usual line when asked about her multiple scandals, ..I've already said what happened... blah blah blah. Guess if she already said that makes it so. Did you listen to Donald's thank you speech yesterday KS? Like I said earlier he had a lot of detailed constructive plans/ideas that will do us good especially if he left will quit condemning every idea he has. We listened to a freshman senator with NOT ONE OUNCE OF REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE for the last 8 years and we've all seen how hiring a community organizer turned out. Let's give a businessman a chance.
