  1. The cabs on E and A models were the same. The cowl might be a little different. The grill is different. The fenders and hood are different on different sized A model so I would suspect are also different on E models. Superdog will know the answer. He has some of each. How about posting some pictures? I know it is pain, but we love them. Mike
  2. The trailer is very solid. I think the deck is 24' to the back. It is set up to pull with a tandem axle. That is why I bought it. It is a 1948 Highway. It is really rusty. Hopefully I will get it done some day and pull it behind the LFT or H613. There is a picture of it hooked to the MH in my gallery. Here is a picture of it hooked to my 1964 F715. I should have bought one of the newer trailers to pull behind the MH, but they were too expensive. Mike
  3. Yep. A 700 series with a flip nose.
  4. Nice pictures. You snuck an International in there. I love the Benjamin Moore early C model. Mike
  5. Does Enck know about this?
  6. Welcome to the forum. As Ron said you have two different serial numbers there. One is for an A40 and the other is for an EQ. Are they on the same truck? The EQ is a older truck. As for A40H versus A40X, the X would be a heavier truck maybe with double frame, heavier suspension and rear. They would have the same sheet metal and engine. How about some pictures? Mike
  7. That is definitely something I would drag home. Of course I would never do anything with it, but admire it. Mike
  8. Very cool. It does look very solid. Did you buy it? Mike
  9. For Sale: 1960's Fontaine, 25 ton, fixed-neck tandem axle lowboy. Walking beam suspension. Ex-US Navy. Needs restoration. Comes with ramps but not attached. $2500 OBO. Located in Douglassville, PA Michael Yarnall 610 764 8283.
  10. It is sold. Thanks Superdog, for passing the info along. Wish I needed one because it is really nice. Mike
  11. I took a picture of the light blue mh in Downingtown on 322 when it was for sale about 2years ago. I had already bought my 1985 mh so was not interested, but looked nice. I have pictures of those F models posted in my gallery. They were still there last summer. There is a 1930's Indiana dump truck rotting away next to a building just down the road too. I first saw that in 1990. All those trucks are much worse for wear. The Indiana has a wood framed cab so it is especially bad. He would sell it for 800 or so to keep it out of the scrap pile. It was his fathers. Mike
  12. Any interest in this sleeper? The owners want it gone and have reduced the price. Mike
  13. I want this truck. Where is it now? Is it an LJST? Mike
  14. I found the pictures. It is the same truck. It is a 1947 EHX 1D 10265. It has a flathead gas and a unishift. It had 88,393 miles on it when it was sold at auction on November 9, 2007 in Fountainville, PA. It was bought by Harvey Grey of New Jersey for $4500. The lettering "HORSHAM TOWNSHIP HIGHWAYS" was still visible on the door. The last inspection sticker ran out January of 1980. It just had a farm sticker on it after that. I should have bought it, but thought the buying would keep going. Is it still in New Jersey? 1947 Mack EHX.pdf Mike
  15. I saw an almost identical looking truck sell in Bucks County PA about 5 years ago for about $7000. It was an old township truck. I could still read the municipality's name on the door. A guy from New Jersey bought it. Maybe this is the same truck. I'll see if I can find the pictures and selling price. Mike
  16. I'm a 4070 A guy. The B's are alright, but not my favorite. Here is a picture of mine. 1973 with a 400 big cam cummins and double overdrive 13 speed. It is a lot of fun to drive. I bob tailed out the the ATHS show in Indiana last year. I'm not that great at shifting it though. The other truck is my 1950 Autocar C90D. It has a flat head gas 501 and a 5 and a 2. I did see a 4070 B this summer at a shop in Lehight County PA, but don't know if it was for sale. Mike
  17. Welcome to the forums. Great pictures. Keep them coming. Mike
  18. Try Fred Chase. E models are his specialty. You should be able to get his number out of Double Clutch or the atca web site. Mike
  19. I'll give you $1500 hundred for that rusty old B model in the background. Looks like it hasn't run in years. Should be worth scrap price anyway... Just Kidding. Mike
  20. If the truck is as solid as it looks $8000 isn't bad. Maybe if you show up with cash you can get it for that. If not let us know where it is and one of us will buy it. I bought a 1960 DC75 Autocar tractor last year for $3500, but it is really rusty. It basically needs all new sheat metal. I am not going to do that. I'll run it the way it is. This one looks pretty solid. (mine did too in the pictures though) Mike
  21. We had used the same logic that since they were tractors the tag went on the front, but I had a state cop come up behind me on 422 while driving my father's B85. She asked over her PA where my license was. I pointed to the front of the truck. She replied that it should be on the back and drove off. It is still on the front of the truck. Since then we put the license on the back of the truck if it has a bracket, but on the front if it doesn't. As for inspection, I doubt a car mechanic would inspect a Superliner. They would probably not be equipped to pull wheels and such. My father takes his to the truck garage. I'll text you a picture of the sticker. He likes your New truck. So do I. Mike
  22. That truck is in my neck of the woods. Maybe I will go and see it. I don't need another truck, but I'd like to see what else is in the garage. I have to go down that way anyway. Mike
  23. What's in the 2 car garage? The doors are to low to fit the B615. Time for a pole barn. Mike
  24. Congratulations. Great truck. My father has an rw613. It will never leave the family. Great story. Good luck with it. Mike
  25. PA is a big state. Where abouts are you from? I'm from Boyertown. I'm having a 1950 lft worked on. Hopefully it will be at Macungie in 2013. Welcome to the forum. Mike
