  1. Congratulations. Welcome to the forum. The truck was posted on here by two other people. If it wasn't on the other side of the country I would have been interested. You probably know that the Lanova is pretty rare. Unfortunately parts are pretty hard to come by. If you do get it running it would be a great truck to keep intact. If you don't, you should save the motor for parts. I had to buy a parts engine for my Lanova and still did not have enough parts to get one running. It is almost there though. Good luck and keep us updated. Mike
  2. The camera woman spent a lot of time filming the AC fire truck. She must have thought the driver was cute. Mike
  3. I was thinking the same thing. You wouldn't want to upset the Village People. Vlad, If you don't Know, they were a really bad band. They make for some great Halloween costumes though. Mike
  4. UFO's don't exist. Next you'll say Santa and the Easter Bunny are fake too. I think it.was wise to pass on that B. A good parts truck but not a good project truck. Starting with something better will save you a lot of time and money. Mike
  5. Reply. I would like to sell my A30/American that I bought earlier this year. The sheet metal is great, but needs a water pump and brake work. It should have a front mounted pump, but it is gone. Most people who want a Mack want something that is all Mack, but this is unusual. Mike
  6. No idea where it went, but I probably have the selling price and maybe the model in the sale information. I'm sure it didn't go for much. How about the round nosed trail behind it. I don't think they sold that. Mike
  7. Here is one more. It was sold at auction when Frames was liquidated. I think that was in 2009, but maybe 2010. This one I am pretty sure is a U model, but sorry, no serial number on this one either. Mike
  8. I agree with Vlad. The first two are definitely R models. Pretty nice looking trucks. That last one sure is ugly enough to be a U model, but I think it is a VCO. Here is a whole fleet of ugly trucks. Maybe they are DMs. The picture was taken in West Hazelton, PA around 2004. No I did not get the serial numbers. Mike
  9. The white RS712 came from the same place as my father's RL712LST. They both had 300 pluses. They were advertised in Wheels of Time several years ago. My parents were out in California for the ATHS show and went to look at them. My father said they were both very nice, but the tandem axle was in better shape. The trucks didn't sell quickly. It was over a year till my father bought his. I don't know how much he paid, but it was $3000 or so to get it to PA. His truck doesn't have any rust on it anywhere. Nothing like the R models around here. I wish it had a V8. Mike
  10. I love the day cab Emeryville and the sleeper on the R model. Is that a Mercury? i want one of them. That fwd is probably from the 50's. It looks pretty nice. Post more pictures. Please. Mike
  11. That is Bill Kirby's rig. He is up here at Mack for Tructoberfest. It.has been great so far. Mike
  12. Yep. That's what happened. As with most older fire trucks, it does not have a key. It has a bunch of swithes and two starter buttons.
  13. Great Collection. How did you aquire all of this? Actions? Buy someone out? Piece meal? All of the above. It would be neat to have a way to dispay them. I bet you could sell it all in a week or two if you wanted to. I've never seen the Mack with a V emblem. Mike
  14. You can give them a call with the serial number. When I tell Rose who I am she asks what I bought now. They do a great job. No other brand has this type of service. Mike
  15. Nelly Bell was at America on Wheels until yesterday. Here are some things that were there.
  16. Haines' show is tomorrow(Oct 20). The weather is supposed to be nice. He has a bunch of nicely restored macks to looks at: 4 AC's, 2AB's, and F model, a B61 and a B87 and lots of other neat stuff. Mike
  17. The tank in my AC and 405 A both had screens in them that got clogged and would not let fuel out of the tank. I cut the screen off of the A model and cleaned the screen on the AC. My 85 LS had 2 Napa electric fuel pumps on it when gotten. I replaced them with one and that worked well until the oil pan got filled up with gas at macungie this year. I am going to put a pressure regulator in the line to try to avoid this in the future. My A model had an aftermarket electric fuel pump which was rebuilt and worked for a short time them we replaced it with a Napa electric fuel pump. I did take tanks off of all three and had them cleaned. The tank on the A model was so bad I had to have a new one made. My father's B85 also uses a electic Napa fuel pump. They cost about $100 and eliminate the concern of the mechanical pump. We are more concerned with them running than being original. I'm sure you have already checked, but make sure there is not a clogged fuel filter in the line somewhere. It is amazing how muuch fuel it takes to keep a 707 running. Mike
  18. I can't deliver it, but Ray could bring it to you. Let me know if you are serious. The exporter wants me to put a fuel pump on it. I don't know how and if I wanted to work on the truck I would not be selling it. Mike
  19. It is probably an 85LS 3 door sedan. That would be a lot of work. Mike
  20. It looks great. Will the fenders be black or maroon? Did that machine have any trouble lifting the cab? Maybe you should have had something a little bigger. Mike
  21. I work right down the road from Triad in Limerick. I love seeing the trucks they are working on when I pass by on my way to work. Occassionally there will be a B model or an Autocar poking out of the garage door.
  22. One last chance on this. An exporter contacted me and if noone on here wants it it will be going over seas. It is a shame to see it go, but hopefully it will get a new lease on life. 1970 R685ST. 237, 5 speed, tandem axle tractor. Had is running a few years ago. Rack is stuck on the fuel pump. Green dash. Cab and doors are very rusty. Hood is good. Only has 4 tires on the rear now. Can send other pictures. $1500. Also have rusty but running 1975 R685ST. $2500. 23. There are people on here who know better than I do. Maybe one of them will add some information. The business is on the family farm. The main part of the business is heavy equipment, buying selling repairing. I think he is still a dealer in Northwest cranes or some brand. I had heard he was a Euclid dealer at one time. They do some heavy hauling. They buy and sell old trucks and maybe newer trucks too. You can check out their web site. Search Gerhart Equipment. You can see what they have for sale. Brent, Did you buy it? I've been taking pictures of that truck for years. They will haul it or contact Ray on here. A mid sized tow truck would do the job. The BX is my favorite truck in the yard followed by the A model with the Windsor Asphalt sign. He gave the signs to John Haines who currently owns Windsor Service. The guy who drove the golf cart in the picture is taking the signs off. I think they should take the whole truck and restore it. Mike
  24. The trucks are for sale. I have heard that they do not sell parts. Some of the trucks had prices on them, but most did not. Mike
  25. Here are two more. I did not look at this F model closely, but it didn't look to bad.
