  1. I just bought the plane ticket for vaction and made sure I got back on Friday night so I can make it out on Saturday. See all of you there. Mike
  2. Carl, Great looking truck. We had one of them at the excavating company I worked for as a teenager. I really liked it. I knew you couldn't have just one fire truck. Mike
  3. I just bought a just out of service 1972 CF719 for $2800. I think that was a good price for what I got. I would not have paid $5000 for it. If it is worth it to you then buy it. $3500 would not be a bad price. If it is really nice, $5000 would be a great price, meaning very good tires, no rust, great paint, enough equipment to make it look complete from the outside. Mine has some rust holes and is missing some equipment. There are a lot of CF's for sale right now as well as other fire trucks. I agree with what FWD said. It would be great to save this truck, but you can't save them all. Good Luck, Mike
  4. It's puppy love.
  5. That was the best parade I was ever in. I met several people from the forum. Brian Enck was behind me in the parade. I also met Joe Ditchkus and Brocky. Lots of really nice trucks. I hope I can make it next year. Mike Here is what they think of Macks up there.
  6. We loaded up our two junky Brockways and headed to Cortland in the rain. My parents went in the Superliner and I drove alone in my car. It was done raining by the time we got here. Peter Grim was doing burn outs in his 761 with a V12 Detroit. Plenty of cool trucks to look at. Hopefully more will show up tomorrow. Mike
  7. 1970 R685ST. 237, 5 speed, tandem axle tractor. Had is running a few years ago. Rack is stuck on the fuel pump. Green dash. Cab and doors are very rusty. Hood is good. Only has 4 tires on the rear now. Can send other pictures. $1500. Also have rusty but running 1975 R685ST. $2500. Mike Yarnall 610 764 8283 yarnallvmd@hotmail.com

  8. Here is the R model version. It is in Steve Hudson's garage in Brockville Ontario. He had to have 3 brackets made to hang it on the wall. He had a red Superliner and an R model at Mack Day last year. Mike
  9. Is it going to be for sale or are you going to play with it? Mike
  10. Come on. Give us more details than that. Did you try to get it running? Is it stuck? Are you happy with it? Everyone wants a V8 Superliner. Can't wait to see it at Mack Day. Mike
  11. I'm still wishy-washy about going. I have the time off, but it is a 5 or 6 hour drive. My father and mother are taking our two junky brockways up on the trailer again so I would be going by myself in my car. Anyone want to ride up with me? I would leave Boyertown PA Friday morning and leave Cortland Saturday about 4pm. Mike 610 764 8283
  12. I'll check some time. Mike
  13. Send them to my house. I have several that I would love to sell. Tom, Congrats on the purchase. It will be a lot of work, but now you have one. $2000 isn't a bad price for everything you are getting. Mike
  14. That is probably the truth. My father took two Brockways up to Cortland last year on the step deck pulled by his Superliner. They only reluctantly let him go in the parade, and then made him go last. If you have a bulldog on you in Courtland you are not liked weather in is chrome or ink. Mike
  15. It is a great little video. I hope there is a longer one. I saw Doug and Jim getting interviewed and they spent a long time talking. My father told her a little about each of the macks we brought. You can see his superliner, B85 and the AC in the background when Don Schumaker is being interviewed and you can see three of the Internationals we took behind my father. I love what Don said. I do think about trucks mostly all the time. Even now when I should be working. Mike
  16. Yep, that's my father. It is funny that they show the B70 on the hook at the beginning. I was trying to buy that while he was being interviewed. Mike
  17. You've seen pictures of what I have. What do you think of any of those? The B42x or B42p would be good options. Mike
  18. Jim, Is the B67 the AAA truck? I don't have room for it, but I want it. Did you find an engine for your Ford? If not you should post it here in the want adds. Mike
  19. There are always a lot of comments on here that things are priced too high. It is probably partially human nature. It is hard to put a price on a collector truck and the whole is very rarely worth the sum of its parts. I have seen trucks that have fresh $100,000 restorations sell for $80,000. Not a very good business model. I can buy a parts truck for less than scrap price and way less than I can buy each individual piece on it. A collector truck is worth what someone is willing to pay, not what someone asks. At an auction two years ago I saw a B61 that I thought was worth $3500 sell for $8500 and a B73 or B75 that the owner couldn't get $15000 for privately sell for $44,000. I don't know what that truck is worth, but let us know what it sells for. It is a really neat looking truck. I'd love one, but I am out of money and room. Mike
  20. Good Luck. If you find an oil gauge for one please let me know. Mike
  21. My father is a member, but that is the same weekend as the Brockway 100th Anniversary. That is where we will be. Mike
  22. The chassis record for my 1925 accd says it is a Northeast 5 AC 325, 6188 model SRH. I don't know what this means but I hope it helps. Mike
  23. I have not messed with this truck at all. I traded another B85 tractor for it. I do not know what is wrong with the engine. It has a straight 5 speed. The tires will need replaced due to age. They hold the truck up. I will have to get on a different computer to send more pictures. I do not have a title. It is ex Lowell, Mass. Mike 610 764 8283
  24. You could try Steve Hudson of Hudson Supply. He runs out of Brockville, Ontario, but hauls all over the US. Search Hudson Supply on the web. Mike
