  1. I have driven my 25 AC at 25 mph and that is fast enough without a windshield. I don't know how motorcyclist do it. It has the brake booster so it stops ok. I haven't had to stop in an emergency. It has pneumatic tires but they were put on in 1936 so I don't want to be too hard on them.
  2. Yours looked great. My father didn't even wash his.
  3. I feel your pain. I am no good at selling things either. I have sold a few things and have regretted it before they left. One I bought back. I had two I sold that I knew were being parted out. That was even worse. I didn't want them but didn't want them cut up. I could never do it as a business. You will be happy when you get the Autocar back looking nice though.
  4. $2500 in Baltimore. http://baltimore.craigslist.org/cto/5759494481.html
  5. I got seals for my A model and L model fire trucks from Associated truck parts. They had not problem getting them. I took in the old which had leather in them and they crossmatched them. I don't know if they are a local chain or if they are in your area. Mike
  6. From the name I assume you are in Trenton NJ. My father has a bunch of parts he would be willing to sell. I am in Boyertown Pa. I will ask him prices if you are interested. Mike.
  7. Nice. I like it.
  8. Not earning it's keep but this is along the road close to me. I assume it is for sale but there is no information. It is pretty rough.
  9. Please put me on the waiting list. How far down am I? Mike.
  10. Wow. That sucks. Glad you pulled it off. Hope I am never in the same situation.
  11. Neat. You haven't talked him out of it yet?
  12. The radiator I the superpumper f model is out of a former ralph g smith truck. I lent it to andy Leider several months ago so they could get it running. Wish I could go.
  13. Pretty neat. Any pictures of them hanging?
  14. Wow! It is hard to say congratulations but you know what is best for you. Glad it got a good home. So what is the next project?
  15. No. It is nice young woman. I met her yesterday.
  16. I am the ATCA representative to the Mack Museum advisory board and was there today for a meeting. Afterward Doug Maney gave me a tour of the archives and did a demo of the build records. I asked him to use RL763LST1689. It came off the line on 5/5/67 and was sold to Pacific Transport by Idaho Truck Sales Company. I took a picture of the microfiche but it won't let me post it. Hope this helps. Mike.
  17. This I knew but forgot.
  18. I learn something every day.
  19. Neat truck. The small MACK letters on the hood shows it was made in the early 70's or earlier but with a serial number of 1689 I can't imagine it was built in '66 or '67. It was the 689th RL 763 so not even an early RL763. Still a neat truck though. Mike.
  20. You need Ron Smith to give some input. His family's company had an H60, 6 H61's and 3 H613's. They had a nickname for the H60. They also had several H67's. Mike
  21. I am told there are more to come. Mike.
  22. Pretty neat. What are the specs?
  23. Sounds interesting. I sent you a private message with my number. You can send me the pictures and I'll post them. Mike.
