  1. Either way, we could be screwed....
  2. I wouldn't mind having a set of high lift wheel picker uppers! Going to need a bigger shop....
  3. Pictures to complete the set. Fuzzy, as the author of the second post, you can go to "Bus 2" and delete it to clean things up if you would like.
  4. That makes two Titan models discontinued by volvo.
  5. Last I knew, Restoration Specialties has the colored cowl board to make the interior panels. http://www.restorationspecialties.com/
  6. Before the Nissan Titan or Mack Titan there was the Chevrolet Titan.
  7. Great looking trucks for sure! Like them both. Like the slope nose just a bit more!
  8. Maintenance vehicle for wide open spaces shown at Ballston Spa in 2015.
  9. Check here for a modern schematic. Don't have a vintage one. https://www.suspensionspecialists.com/techinfo/Bendix_Brake_Handbook_2009.pdf
  10. 1967 and 1968 share hoods. It has a sloped leading edge compared to the 1969 hood which has a more upright hood profile.
  11. Tie rod rebuild kits are not available any more that I can find. Some folks have used Meritor R230024 (Left) and R230025 (Right) tie rods and an A-3102-S-3451 cross tube as modern replacements on Mack FA517 front axles. I don't have a FA505 axle to measure and confirm compatibility. You may want to get the tie rod taper dimension and compare to what you have currently. Also, verify proper thread engagement between the tie rod and cross tube. Cross tubes are available in different lengths if needed. $250-300 will be the approx. parts cost for the replacement assembly.
  12. My next step would be to contact the Mack Museum and see if they have the drill dimension layout for the frame rails. It may be a born with defect. If the fellow in the frame shop was having a bad day in 1979, he may have indexed the transmission mount holes (for example) a 1/4" or 3/8" rearward from where they should be? https://www.macktruckshistoricalmuseum.org/
  13. I don't believe much (if any) of the information or news from China. Also use a huge filter on the news that is disseminated here by the mass media.
  14. There are some dimensional frame differences depending on the spec of the truck. The RL/RS trucks have a straight frame at the engine and an eastern R has splayed rails so the mounts are different. Do the mount holes look wallowed out?
  15. 600 and 700 are chassis series. A 685 is a 600 chassis with a 237 engine. On your door tag, what follows the RL? What engine do you have have? Is it original to the truck? Pictures of RLs always appreciated.
  16. Well, that sucks. Hopefully you have plenty of spring business coming up!
  17. Ambient air temp sensor is not happy.
  18. Dick Pein was the fleet maintenance supervisor for Celli Trucking in the Chicago area. Took care of a lot of Dogs over the years. Condolences to the family.
  19. No connection to item. Saw it while looking at ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/82-Mack-W-25-Ton-DeWalt-Underlift-30-Ton-Boom/283772027905?hash=item4212218401:g:zDUAAOSwsFZeOZq1
  20. I think it is probably a 300 engine. To be sure, check the stamped engine number off of the top of the timing gear casting in front of the injection pump. For example, E6300 or EM6300L or ??? Be aware of what you have for a combo and use accordingly. If you were going into the dump truck business, it isn't the correct truck. If you are doing projects at your home or farm, could last a long time.
