  1. They also sell to the public, I was supposed to get a CH bumper but they already sold it and never removed the listing. Some things are for dealers only, but if you call them, they will work with you. Click Inventory and search bumpers. 2. I figured replacing smaller stuff and work my way up. Your story makes me feel a little more comfortable about trying it. That with a fresh oil change, hopefully that does it. The oil condition gets a tiny streak of grey once and a while, then goes away. Did that seem to be your case too? I recently did change my valve cover gaskets on both heads, and didn't see nothing strange. (I was looking to) I loose about the same amount of water too, but that is also some external leaks too. I leak a tiny bit under me water pump pulley.
  3. Looking for a bumper for my 1999 mack CH613. I would rather have a three piece factory bumper but would be willing to buy chrome. Im located in Moyock, NC. (Most north-eastern part of NC). I run west to Hickory, NC - Roanoke, VA. Baltimore, MD, and Selma, NC
  4. Dexheavydutyparts.com in south western VA has too many new factory bumpers for newer trucks like yours.
  5. You think the CL bumper would work on a CH with little modification? and how much?
  6. Careful, I had fuel filters for my '94 CH and figured they would work on my '99 CH, they looked the same, but the threaded opening was different. This could be possible on oil filters to I would think. A new filter kit from Mack is $50ish. This includes the two fuel filters, the three oil filters, and one coolant filter. I paid over $50 just for the two fuel filters at NAPA Auto. You may just as well get them from the dealer.
  7. You're the man, if you click on repair kit it pulls a picture of it. Thank you
  8. Mack wants $900 for this fan clutch, anyone know what model number it is? I know its a Horton clutch, but cant find the model number. Ebay is no luck. Thank You for the help.

  11. The first two filters are regular spin-on, the third one is a housing that holds a different style filter, which goes on only one way over a stud. Its a centrifuge style I think. The lower hose should be a right angle going back into the engine block, almost looks like a radiator hose.
  12. Sending an oil sample out soon, the oil started to get a little grey streaks in the oil. I checked the coolant by removing the filter and it looks normal. So it looks like I facing an in-frame engine rebuild for $3,500 doing it myself. But there could be a chance its only the air compressor. Whats a way to test the compressor? I figured maybe drop the oil pan and pressure the cooling system and check both, the air compressor and sleeves at the same time? The truck runs normal, same amount of power, but can condensation over time make the oil turn grey over time of constant condensation? Thanks for the input. And the truck is run 400 to 600 miles every work day (mon-fri) What is the difference in an in-frame rebuild vs an overhaul? (besides overhaul is outside the truck) what parts would come in addition to an in-frame kit?
  13. My coolant bottle is mounted high on the fire wall abobe the engine, it still looks green but smells slightly off. (Not as sweet) the radiator doesn't have a cap either. I plan on removing the coolant filter to see what comes out when I get a chance.
  14. Crank shaft positioning sensor will only delay firing by a few seconds from my experience. (Loose connection) after working on the truck
  15. There is also a small oil leak at both ends of the cooler where the flanges bolt to the oil filters.
  16. Hello, I have a '99 Mack CH613 with the E7 motor. I have small water droplets on my oil dipstick, with mostly ok (black) oil. Over by the water pump, It has a small leak, that once was greenish coolant, now is looking like thick light brown gunk. oil cooler? Something worse?
  17. Any "lightning bolt" codes? (Electronic malfunction) to check have the cruise control switch in the off position, then press "set" on the other button. If the light is on, it will blink a code line --- - which is 3-1. Tell us what you get.
  18. I know you said its wrecked, but is the driver side fuel tank in ok shape?
  19. I have the same dent, but a round aluminum tank. How much pressure should be on the tank? With water in it?
