  1. Oh well, you're right, the truck is my baby anyways... Should be ready today
  2. Roy and Mark are my two favorites. Sucks about Roy.
  3. List: 1x reman POS150-10S tranny 1x New clutch 1x fly wheel grinding 1x main rear seal 1x motor mount 2x transmission bushing or mounts 1x shift tower (or rebuild kit) 20 hours of labor (guessing) All from memory, will give the break down report when I get it Monday night, assuming they don't call for something else,
  4. So, Mack might give me my truck back Monday, finally. Bill has got to $8,200 so far, it took them over three weeks. they replaced anything to do with the transmission, so all thatsbasicly new, my truck was worth maybe $14,000 if I would have sold it before the transmission went south. I was just wondering if maybe ya'll think the truck gained any value with all this? I will say confidently though, they aren't working on my truck again unless its for an in-frame rebuild.
  5. Sorry elitedownunder, I forgot all about the book, my dealer still have my truck too, which the book is inside of. See what code you got, example would be like it flashed 3x paused then flashes 5x, that means you have 3-5. Lets us know what it actually is, we can tell you.
  6. Yep, I noticed that on almost all the container chassis around here.
  7. Sounds to me like the air governor went back. Its cheap to replace, I would try that first.
  8. Perhaps find a cut off set of tandoms in a junk yard, swap gears, re-sell the taller gears an eBay? What brand rears does ithave? 2,000 rpms would make me nervous.
  9. Probably for when a driver pushes on the clutch or is on the gas pedal. Thats why most clutches make that tiny click noise when you start to press it, just telling the computer to stop engine braking.
  10. Don't Spec anything Spicer! I have their transmission which is being replaced right now for $7,000, their drive shaft, which has all new u-joints and more, and rears. (No problem with those yet..) I know it sounds like I can't drive, but no other problems with other "All" Mack Trucks.
  11. I would assume not legally, where do you live?
  12. 3-5 is for "Engine Brake Output #1" could be high voltage or open OR low voltage. A 3-6 is same, except for #2. I'm guessing 1 and 2 is for solenoids under the valve covers?
  13. So im not entirely sure whats going on... I just want to feed my family anymore. They will have it at least til Friday, making it nearly three weeks just from when I dropped it off with them.
  14. My truck is a 1999 Mack CH613. Im not sure if they are or not, the one that came out of my truck has mounts to frame to transmission. If it was an International, they use engine to frame mounts and let the transmission hang dont they?
  15. Yep, it originally had a POS150-10S, then later was swapped with the same transmission from a international, ( different bellhousing and mounts)
  16. Found the problem, the transmission that was pulled from my truck was from an International Truck. Previous owner or mechanic used a transmission that was exactly the same, but the bell housing on the transmission had a different mounting system. They could have just swapped bell housing on the transmission to make it fit back exactly, but of course not... Thats the exact reason I don't want just any shop working on my truck.
  17. Sounds better to say it has a reman in it when I try to sell my truck, or trade it. Which is becoming a bigger and bigger possibility.
  18. I think it was newly purchased by Road Runner in Arizona. There is a fleet sticker on the side of my drivers seat with that info. It is a POS150-10S, was anyways. That transmission was better off being swapped anyways, I replaced the output seals multiple times, oil leaked everywhere, shift tower was sloppy, short of welding the nut, the drive shaft yoke way coming loose often too, using a new nut, red loc tite. Plus Mack said if the repaired it, something else could go later, like 4th and 9th,
  19. I think the bell housing is all one piece with the tranny. If you unbolt it, all the guts fall out. (Someone told me that a while ago.
  20. Yeah, they say the mounts from my old transmission don't fit the reman. May be buying new ones regardless unless they figure whats wrong. Im hoping their supplier sent the wrong one to Mack.
  21. I have an overhaul manual in my truck (which is locked inside the dealership currently) but I will try to find some info monday night if no one else answers.
  22. My truck is at Tidewater Mack Inc in Chesapeake, VA. Its been two weeks so far since I dropped it off for popping out of low 5th and high 10th. Truck sat out side a week until I told them I was taking it to someone else. They said it needed a reman transmission, they got it in but now they said its the wrong one... The mounts aren't the same and I think maybe the bell housing is different. They said the ordered it by using the trucks VIN. Wouldn't that be the right one then?? Now i'm scared someone changed motors and transmissions before I got the Truck. It came with a Spicer, All the parts I've ever ordered for it seemed to work and the parts depot always knew it was a Spicer. My old transmission was a PSO15010S. My replacement Spicer is near $4,000 plus $3,000 in a new clutch, seals, labor, motor mounts... $7,000 total. So since its wrong and they are at a stand still until Monday morning to talk to the company they got the Spicer from. So I asked him to look into other Transmission like Mack 9, 10, possibly a 13 spd. maybe Eaton Fuller, what ever maybe would be cheaper or better off reather than the Spicer. What do you'll think? If I go over $7,500, I may give them to Title and say its theirs, its probably only worth $15,000 total...
