  1. I have a 99 Mack Vision cx613. It has a really bad lean to the right. Its on the cab and the chassis. The frame is lower on the right side from the right front drive wheel to the front right steering, by 1.5 inches. The spring itself on the passenger side is closer to the frame on that side than the drivers side. I don't know if this has anything to do with the lean or not, but there is a spring spacer shim missing on the right spring on the front drive axle. Also , I just replaced the leveling valve on the cab and the left shock under the cab. The right one is still original. Does anyone have any ideas about why I might have the lean, which is more noticeable at the front, especially when im loaded? Is there a cab mount that could be missing, and where is it located? Can the right side spring on the steering axle be shimmed up? Also the left steering tire is cupping while the right side isn't. Im learning as I go, so im not quite sure where to look. The truck has 946K miles on it. The shocks and springs are all original, so things are wearing out, which after 16 years is not unexpected. If anyone has had or has a leaning problem, id appreciate your input. Thanks. Sweatpants.
  2. I have a 1999 Mack Vision condo with a E7, 427 mated to an Eaton 10 speed automatic. It jumps a little when I give the truck fuel to take off, in reverse or forward gears. I don't know if this is symptomatic of this model, or if it needs transmission fluid. After starting to move, its good, no slippage or jumping, unless at slow speeds as when maneuvering to hook up or park. It shifts smooth as silk. Any info will help. BTW, this site is great for Mack owners and trucking enthusiasts. I've been driving for 24 years, but this is my first truck, first Mack that I've owned( I have been driving a 2013 Mack Pinnacle with the Mdrive 12 speed for 2 years now at my present employer) and I want to treat her right. She's 16 with 852,000 miles. Thanks guys.
  3. Thanks EZRider, MackDog, Underdog,Superdog, hatcity and Green dash. I'm feeling better about my purchase. The engine seems like it's in good shape. That trans i'm not sure about, especially without having a load behind it yet. But from the comments so far, I'm pretty sure its a solid investment. Ive seen others priced a little less- $12-16k. They came down to 22k for me with $3000 down.
  4. Thanks Jim. I appreciate your reply. I will keep an eye on that. I think this place will be a good source of information.
  5. Hey ladies and gentlemen. I am the new owner of a Mack Vision, 1999, with a Mack E7 427 engine . It has 852,000 miles on it. It is mated to an Eaton automatic transmission. I would like to know if anyone can give me some info on this truck, in general and maybe specifically. I am interested in the mpg it could get, and if anyone is running similiar specs on their truck. I dont know much about this trans. It says automatic with overdrive. The shifter on on a swivel stick on the drivers seat. Much different than the Mdrive transmission panels that are on the dash of the newer models. The truck is loaded. The only info that i could get from the previous owners is that the oil was changed every 12000 miles, a clutch was put in , and a head gasket seal replaced, both in 2013. I am in love with this ride. Its priced at $22,000. Let me know what you guys think. Id appreciate any help or info.
