  13. Doug, you beter use them sr discouunt up before the shit heads(for lack of better word) in washington take them away from us and give them to the illegals.
  14. Did alittle more work on the cab.You are looking at the right side air vent that is under the aircleaner.Once I removed the aircleaner and the bracket that holds it to the cab I found that over the years moisture had gotten under the bracket and rotted some of the cab.If i had never taken the bracket off i wouldn't had seen it,good reason for taking the cab down as far as i did.I made a patch for it and then had to redrill the holes that hold the bracket to the cab and then cut out for the vent.
  15. there's nothing better then a scrapple sandwhich or two in the morning. My wife hates the smell of it and she won't even cook it for me.Hell all this talk about scrapple make me wanting some, talk with you all latter going in the kitchen to make some.
  16. Those 2 holes are for different air cleaners setup. My 2 will be block off also.We had a piece of diamond plate alum.covering these 2 hole.I haven't decided what i am going to use.I never intended to take the truck this far,but you all know one thing leads to another. My truck was a road worthly as i drove it into the shop.Like i have said before this truck has been in the family since new and i don't think it has 300,000 miles on it.Hell it never went further than 60 miles from home until the early 80's.It was always kept in the garage at nights.
  17. RZX,I have a 79 r model also.My serial # is 33171.My father brought 20 of them.Serial # starting with 33165-33184.I still have the orignal order sheet. It has 169wb,ENT676-300 series Maxidyne 285 hp.This is the last one we have left. This truck has only 72,000 orignal miles.I willpost a picture of it when I get home.We used them all for pullingdump trailers.I can remember crossing the bridge over into NJ weighing 113,000 taking a load to the landfill. The price we paid for each one was $44,904 that was with us supplying the tires. They gave us a tire credit of $1896 on each truck.
  18. Well it been a while since I reported on my progress of my truck.I brought the cab home back in Nov. and I haven't really been able to work on it in the condition I'm in.Also with having it home I have my wife watching me like a birddog making sure I don't do anything to stupid like i would really do that.I help her put all the christmas stuff away so she left me go out to the shed for a few hours by myself.I finished up with the floor and started on the bracket that hold the aircleaner on the cab.Didn't have my air cutter home so I tried the grinder will clean it uo tomorrow with the cutter. Here's some pic.Hayyp New Years to all.
  19. That a fine looking truck, like the color combo.Looks like it needs nothing but a little ride in the county every week or so.
  20. We brought 10 u models in 79 that had that tranney,we used them to pull dump trailers.Once they got off the road with a heavy load they weren't worth a shit.
  21. Happy New Years to all.Swishy good to see you here and not on the bb at ACMOC.
  22. Use to love that white shit they call snow when I was younger and we had half of the city of Philly to plow. The longest I was on the payroll was 38 hours. If I recall that week I had something like 102 hours, that was when the blizzard of 78 hit.I used to take one of our 16G graders out and run up and down Rt1 in Philly all day and night. So if I don't ever see another GD snowflake again it will be too soon.
