  1. Welcome to the dog pound, like that red b model fire truck.
  2. I think I just soiled my draws watching that.
  3. We had a fleet of 15 of them back in the day.Ours were 79's,triaxles.Other then the bumpie ride they were a good truck.
  4. Welcome to the dog pound.Love that B model.
  5. I've seen a rust colored one park there,it right down from the ice hockey place.Beem meaning to take a pic but always forget the camera.Do you drive for JDM.When your around let me know I'll show you my B87.215-669-1252 Mike Durkin
  6. philatruck,i've seen that new JDM fuel truck.Very plain but is a rather nice looking truck. It's your typical JDM,or late Durkin trucks that were just plain janes that got the job done.I can recall back in 98 when I was looking for a new tractor to put under our lowboy and my dad over heard me talking to the Pete salesmen. After I hung the phone he said stick with what got you here, and that would be a MAck.So you know what truck we brought.Mack CL700 with the V8.The more we loaded her down the better she pulled.Came out of Bethleham Steel one morning at 3:30 am loaded with our Cat 375 and I tilted the scales at 204,000,the only downside was my permit was good foe 198,000.I crossed my fingers and went.
  7. Mark, that truck from Daily was an owneroperator that works for them I think his name was Jihn Parsons,he made some moves for us.That had a E9 in it,i think he sold that one and has a newer truck now.
  8. Do you still have the 2 orange fenders and maybe a radiator shell to go with them?If so what do think shipping to Philly PA 19116 would be.
  9. I will check out the one last bone yard I know of this week.Let me have a # where I can get you at if I find one.
  10. If it only sat 3 years I have no doubt that it will be running today if you get the chance.
  11. My B87 has a 9.10 rear ratio and she tops out at about 72 at 2100.
  12. Come on over alittle east to Philly and you may take her out for a spin jaysm35a2.Thanks for the compliments.
  13. The only thing that matters to this old fart is something with fing HEAT.Coming from a family owned costruction company,I spent alot of time in the cold, snow, rain to either fix a truck or equipment.I can tell you this much that my days of laying in the cold mud is over with.So build it big and with alot of heat.
  14. I must of not made myself clear when I said the truck is not for sale.I will say it again THIS TRUCK IS NOT,NEVER HAS BEEN FOR SALE.
  15. Here are some more shots of the beauty queen. These were all taken before I repainted her about 3-4 yers ago.
  16. I have a beautiful 79 r model that your 6k wouldn't come close to buying it if it was for sale. One owner,72,000 orignal miles. For the 6k don't expect a truck in real good shape.Mine I'ld hop in right now and go to Calif. in it and never give it 2 throughts. What are you looking to do with it,restore or use?
  17. I saw that the building wasn't vacant on the news. The fire I was talking about in Baltimore was a F---ing furniture store that all persons were out and counted for,and they sent in 7 great men for what.No sofas or love seat is worth that price.
  18. Hell we moved over a million and a half yds of burnt trash out of Philly to the landfills of NJ.We had 30 of our own trucks and about 200 plus or minus independent truckers. We did this in less then a year. They will mostly use triaxles dumps. The most you will be getting on the trucks will be 15-18 yds a load.At 15 yds a load it will take 5600 loads. Now if the sand is wet which in all likely hood it is you may only be getting 12 yds a load.Once the local cop get wind of it and start to weigh and do spot check on the trucks their production will go way down.We got any where from 15-25 over weight tickets everyday, except on Saturday the state police weigh team didn't work.So guess what we did on that day.The 20 r models we had brought new with Benson trailers were not allowed to leave the job under 90,000.The independents did the same.I think I took the heavest load out on a Saturday that weighed in at 112,000.If they only have 35 days to do it it's going to be tough. That will amount to 160 loads a day.Not a whole lot.We hauled in over 1200 loads of sand from NJ to the Philly airport and that was well over 20 miles one way. Will the loading site or dumping site allow for that many trucks aday? Good Luck.
  19. How sad, most likely it was a vacant building. My brother in law was a FF in the Baltimore city FD,and was involved in a fire about 30 years that 7 fellow brothers died.My prayers go out to the families.God Bless.
  20. We got just enough to just cover the grass, today's weather is a wonderful 30 and windly as hell. The 7 day is much better,we'll wait and see.
  21. That happen some years back,I think it was in Germany. That where those big monsters are located.
  22. just stated to snow here at 5:00.
  23. Just realized I should have posted in the odd&end section.Sorry this weather just has me at my wits end.
  24. Now fellow truck lovers,I am just trying to vent here so if you all wil put up with my rank it would make this weather alittle better. Here in Philly they tell me that it's like the forth or so day of spring. We haven't seen the sun in a week.Suppose to get 1"-3" of snow tonight. At this rate my truck won't get painted till July or when I break down and pay someone that has a heated shop to do it for me.That not going to happen.Got the inside of the cab done only because I built a 16 x 16 shed for all the shit around the house(that what I told my wife it was for). Can't seem to find a way to get the whole truck into it.well I done enough ranking for the time being, maybe I'll be paint by the first of May.
