  1. What Joe says about leaving the level low, don't know if it has a plastic expansion tank that you can see how much is in it, on a cold engine leave it low as you can in the expansion tank and see what happens. terry
  2. Your going to have to post more info, maybe a pic of each engine you are talking about. terry
  3. 2000. for a oil pan!! wow! terry used overhaul a engine for that!
  4. If i remember right, on some applications the snap ring is needed to hold the pilot bearing a little farther out to catch the input shaft. terry

  10. Yeah weasel it can be pretty confusing. you are right on the TRXL 107 6speed that is the one i was talking about when i said T107X, and that TRDXL 107 6 speed was a forerunner of the TRXL 107 series. and the TRXL 1070 or 12 speed is another variation yet! On the TRDXL 107 it was a 5speed main with a direct and low back box, the TRDXL 1070 was a 5 speed main with a direct and overdrive back box. real clear now!😂 terry
  11. Yours is probably a T107X, i think that is the right designation, a five speed main with a direct and low and reverse on the other stick. the TRXL 1070 is actually 3 boxes bolted together, the front is direct and low, then a five speed main, and then a direct and hi splitter. the dirtect and low can be a air switch on the dash or a second stick for the earlier ones, and the reverse and direct/hi split is on the shifter. and if this is not confusing enough, some early ones were a TRXL 107 witch did not have overdrive, direct all the way through in top gear. terry I once had a DM dump dump with that TRXL 1070 with 4.17's and it was a real runner.
  12. Depends what style injection pumps are on them, if injection pumps are the same, lift pump should be the same on that era of engine. terry
  13. A 5 spd. might not be geared low enough to take off on soft conditions with that much weight, awful hard on the clutch, and the whole drive line! terry
  14. I once had a DM dump put a overdrive 12 speed with 4.17 rears and loved it, was on 22.5 rubber, but the pump was set to 2300 RPM'S would not push it that hard very often, just surprise another truck or two!! it would bury the 80MPH. speedometer. terry
  15. Click on the truck specs, that will tell you. terry
  16. Should have went with the original heater box. terry
  17. As joey said be sure to hook some shop air up to it, hard to hear smaller air leaks with a running truck. terry
  18. definitley check out the two plastic check valves first. terry
  19. I would start with the lift axle dropping down with the loss of air pressure. terry
  20. Don't know if there is any connection, but could the dizzyness be a inner ear problem, i have had that dizzyness before myself. terry
