  1. Thank you for sharing. I was told about this flight but haven't knew much. Too interesting to learn and too sad to know.
  2. Happy birthday!
  3. Little addition. Mack VIN starts from "1". When a truck was built in the US. But when it's Canadian VIN starts from "2".
  4. By the way I may use corner pinion/gear with a combination of big lower gear set off mine's 5.02's wich I actually have 3 sets. Ratio is determined more by an upper (corner) gear. But they are behind the covers for shure. It's not my need of the day, I plan to start on my R not earlier than in 1-2 years. Although 5.02 seems a bit slow for a hobby long distance travelling truck.
  5. Too interesting stuff, have never had luck to pay attention before. Thank you for posting it.
  6. No, I mean Kruzenshtern with all the masts on the picture above. By the word I looked both sides down the river than crossed the bridge in New London CT but didn't catch any big mast vessel.
  7. I thing you should make pictures of the engine compartment and the actual compressor in its place and post them here. It might help. About 10 years ago whole the R-model was scrapped in Russia due to compressor issue. Vlad.
  8. Nice pics Paul, I too like the boat on the first one. Hope you enjoyed on board. Thank you.
  9. Glad to know it JT. Shure it accelerates your imagination on what a wrecker you may buy one day. Congrats!
  10. Western R's look cool. This one has nice color scheme for shure. Especially if we take to account lady's clothes.
  11. Looks like a tight built unit. Will need some work for shure. And Vinny, you don't have tandems in your collection.
  12. Sad news. But here may be another side of a cone - it may be followed with harder technical inspection of antique vehicles. Too sorry for everybody involved.
  13. I also have this thing in common for shure. That's why I make many stops by a long way. Niagara falls weren't really the aim, I more wanted to lay the trip down that point but look as much over as I could. Of course It's much easier when you're on holiday but it's look to me as an important matter to think about when on a job. You spend much more time when but more and more less than if you do a special holiday trip to same points. And from my side I tested it many time and glad to say - it works
  14. Don't worry Tom, let's hope we will live immortal. I also sorry wasn't able to head in your neck of the woods. GG2, thanks alot for the invitation, I hope I could do it one day. Paul, let's hope for the best.
  15. Sounds good. The list of questions: 1.Could you open the big side covers and look about gear teeth actual condition (aren't broken?) 2.Are you able to remove the carriers from the axles? 3.Could you make a shipping to Secaucus NJ07094 and how much it might cost? 4.What the price you would be glad for including all above?
  16. I like the head light and the second person. Everything else looks nice as usual.
  17. As for me I need carriers only. But mines are Neway and I want to have the same points for the rods. The last set you offered was out camelback and more difficult to me. Here's what I have:
  18. Vinny, you should pay more attention for the future now. Sorry if I tell the things you always use to hear. But you're also can make your day now. Just ask Matt Pfahl for some stuff you need for your truck and visit him for. Or it will be much better to make a trip with your truck there when it's ready. Hope we all see it soon
  19. Just one little nuance - have the words been spoken true in grammatic order also?
  20. Looks like the weather doesn't change in PA. At least for the last two weeks
  21. If the memory serves me good Vinny planned to keep original red with black. But looks like he started to realize his secret project. Who was the spy who took it out on a surface?
  22. It's not only nice but too useful to read so many kind words folks! Because I red them many times and learned 'em hard. So use to speak good things (I hope). Yes, I really liked to see such hidden secrets of America as old and rusty Macks were. As for the mixer truck it's better to google "Gary Mahan collection" or look in the "Wiki Support" of the site. There are great trucks and many of them. I just saw no sence to put them all here on. At the moment I'm not so ambicious to make big plans. The next event on my list is Dutch Mack show in October. Don't forget, it's also a bit less than 2000 miles from my location. As for your beautiful country I see no hard trouble, it's just a question of time and allmighty green stuff. Let's hope. Ken, strike while the iron is hot! I used to do much for the future but once I realized that the future is already came and I also should do for today. We better should remember that. Steve, I liked to meet you also, too sorry we hadn't time enough to speak well (the same way as with many others))). It would be interesting to look over your RW well and speak about. By the word I saw you down the road in I-85 right in about 100 miles from Rose being heading East. Ilya looked over the road all the time during the trip and hoped to see Superliner. The only one we saw was the green with gold strips carried concrete tank. Nobody could mistake the outlook of that truck. It was too nice to see you and too sorry to not see other RW's down the roads.
  23. I see you like to present the Independance day by very attractive form. Happy 4th of July to all of you American guys!
  24. Thanks friends, the pleasure was mine. Ron, when being home I noted I have many shots of your blue baby but none with you or me in front of. I had that idea to ask you about but almost forgot.
  25. Mike, have you started on the last bought red one?
