  1. Seems like a party with partying down the governor is coming.
  2. A truck with no trailer is an odd thing in Europe. The most of trucks you can see on a highway are van semi's. Or lowboys with heavy equipment sometimes. Probably a different way to explore and run over trailers. European roads are mostly tight on traffic and trucking shedule. So minimum empty loads. Here are some pics I spotted on my way in Sweden some years back.
  3. Pretty sad. And as I figured out of the reports the previous such accident took place in January 2016. Just a year before. The driver survived that time.
  4. Interesting that there's a lot of European cars. Some of them are count as rare on this side of the ocean.
  5. Hope you got about of what you was planning to get for her. And too hope the new dog house is a good enough for the retired dog.
  6. Nice old picture and too interesting trailer setup also. Got a thought on a side note. Were there any B 73/75 with the integral sleeper cab produced? I mean big radiator ones. Can't remember spotting a picture of.
  7. That's one cool looking Cruiseliner! Hope you will find a new home for it soon.
  8. What was the soundtrack? "Highway to hell"?
  9. Damn, seems like sh*t came as a lot. Good luck on keeping the ducks in order and feel better.
  10. Might be Ok if you went empty. Being you I would make more observations with a load and up steep heels. Your turbo produces pressure by the energy of the exhaust. And when your truck runs easy and you don't apply much throttle not much exhaust is produced. So not much turbo supercharge is produced just because it is not needed in such cases.
  11. Unfortunately I don't see Peter announced a invitation for every old truck enthusiast from all over the globe with coverage of expences to bring a truck there. Otherwise I will be glad to attend Sure kidding. Just have no idea of how much efforts is required to orginize a truck show. So my hat is always off for such the kind of people. Hope it will be a cool event.
  12. Nice to see a first bit of the ways to go is passed. Good luck on the continue!
  13. Sometimes I feel I need some more Dollars prayers for that But being not in trust the only way I see is more wrenching.
  14. My browser logs in automatically, haven't noted anything new so far. Funny thing a friend of mine found out he couldn't visit Hemmings web site the other day. I tried and got "access blocked" either. Read explanations and learned it was because of some security programm. So looks like no one from Russia can visit Hemmings anymore. Everything allright with BMT and I hope it's all under control
  15. If you go to Moscow I'd like to grip your hand. Currently I'm in the process of making my own R688 as cool as yours. Need no less than 2 years or more to get it complete. Hope I will be able to afford it
  16. Kevin, Thanks the great for so much and detailed info. I wish I could spend enough of time to work it al over. But I browsed it in general and got a common view.
  17. Paul, I sure noted the split along the back wall of the cab. Haven't seen the bolts in the video but thought they were there since you mentioned it. Just wonder is there a split over the windscreen also and how the roof remove is a service operation? Might be just a kind of manufacturing design about the cab with no application to please yourself with sunny rays. Thanks for those old pictures. Nice to see. Do you remember the date they were done?
  18. Bob, if you really want I can supply you with a left hand drive one. Just should do it fast enough until ice is strong over Bering strait. Oh, and some cash from your wallet might be involved
  19. A cool looking unit as I would describe it. Saw pics of them on the net before. Just haven't understood the way of conversion those "convertibles". How could you remove the roof or upper part of the cab to make it a cabrio?
  20. Doesn't sound nice. Hope the pot room functions right. Good luck on a speedy and full recovery.
  21. It's ex-WW2 truck
  22. Seeing the 1st picture you posted - R-model, I was going to type "it sure worth compliments" But seeing the rest I realized I just don't have enough of the buttons on my keyboad to describe how neat you collection is Thank you for sharing with us. I just rest with a wonder of how much time and how many craftmans' labour hours or years were spent to make such beautifulization. Vlad
  23. ...and for the mixer pictures either.
  24. Looks like someone made a good work. It took me a while scratching my head on the origin of that suit case. Don't know for sure but I guess they bought some kid's toy and got it naked. http://www.ebay.com/itm/FIREFIGHTER-Hood-Ornament-Mack-Bulldog-Desk-Mascot-/332106381340?hash=item4d5315381c:g:YmIAAOSwt5hYcdVa
