  1. They don't usually allow pulling trailers in the parade, with the exception of Mike R, who took a lot of heat for doing it. My photo of the Superliner with the two Brockways made the BMT calender, BTW. I guess I'd have to lay out $30 to see one... Bulldog stuff in Cortland is all in fun, I wouldn't take it seriously.
  2. Kind of short notice, but there will be plenty of Macks at the Uncle Sam Show, I know this one will be there...
  3. Vinny, I just noticed it the other day, when I got another PM. I figured the statute of limitations ran out on it...
  4. The B-models that Carolina Freight had were bought second hand from Bell Lines of Charleston WV and used as city tractors, in the mid-eighties there were still a few left used as yard tractors with hyd-fifth wheels, saw several at the terminal in Avenal NJ. Schwerman Trucking is the only company that I ever heard of having Roadrangers in B-Models, and that was according to my Father.
  5. PennYan didn't have V12 Detroits, they had 903 Cummins in their Brockways and their Fords. Inland Express had V12's in their Freightliner COE's
  6. Have been driving an 2009 Pinnacle the past few days, It has an MP7 motor, was wondering about the engine specs, hp etc. If anyone has access, the vin is 1M1AW01X99N001453. Seems pretty strong, but havn't pulled much weight yet, top rpm is 1800.
  7. Back in the mid seventies I worked part time a few summers for Schwerman Trucking who at the time had all R-models rangeing about the years 1971 to 1976. Between the two terminals there were probably 75 tractors, and rarely did you get the same tractor, so there were a lot of different interiors between the years. I remember the gauges towards the center and offset, and also a different color green. I'm guessing the years could have been 72 or 73, because I believe the tan vinyl interior came out in 1974.
  8. I've been told to watch out for ex-bus engines, because they spin the opposite way.
  9. This photo is from Doug Fetterly's collection, with Bob at the Colorado Show.
  10. Vinny, Try this for Hanks truck forum, http://hankstruckforum.com/htforum/index.php
  11. Vinny, You would go to "favorite truck" and then under Mack, you would have to go thru them. The MB Mack was once a Schaefer beer truck, Schaefer had a brewery in Albany years ago.
  12. That's the place, only I've heard that they are not interested in selling anything. I've posted a couple of photos of this outfit on Hanks, including the one you just did Vinny.
  13. So many U-models at this location, couldn't get them all in the same photo, there's about 4 or 5 more beyond the pic, couple of them still work...
  14. The B-Model is from 2008 Lititz PA The Superliner is from the 2011 Cortland NY Show

  18. Here is what I have, there are still a few trailers around being used for storage. The two top ones are mine from the Albany area, and the other Fred Gruin Photo is borrowed from Hank's.
