    In the late 1970's AR Gundry (then owned by Refiners Transport) and Gypsum Haulage, two Leaseway Transportation Companys shared the same terminal in Albany NY. Gypsum started out with used Whites from other terminals but eventually received at least 10 brand new R-700's with 290 Cummins and 9 speed Roadrangers. They were some beautiful tractors....average fleet power for back then.

    Don't know what's going on with this one, never seen it operating, and haven't been there since November, but 'tis the season for rebuilding..... They do a great job rebuilding their mixers.

    For loads grossing 80,000, as long as the puffer valve was adjusted correctly, 237's and 300's would pick it up at 1200rpm and go...

    Carolina bought those B-67's used from Bell Lines Inc of Charleston WV, and used them as City Tractors and later used the survivors as yard horses. Was on light duty because of an injury in the mid eighties and did road work nightly for about a month between Albany and Avenal NJ, where they still had several B-67's in the yard.....should have pursued one......

    The 2004 Visions that ABF had (over 500 of them) all did the same thing, drivers called them the "shredders". Drivers carried spare belts with them so vendors could repair them along side the road. ABF got rid of most of them before their time was due, and they didn't buy Macks again until 2008.

    I remember Mobil having a different pump setup on the tractors, instead of the suction being on top of the frame next to the discharge crossover, it came out the back by the taillights so they hooked one of the four inch gravity hoses to it. Lots of neat equipment, single axle tractors pulling trailers with hose reels at the rear, etc. Didn't the R-Models have cut bumpers with Chevrons (no pun intended) I started going in there with a trailer in 1974 for Amos Post, there was a guy in the tower that wore glasses and always chewed on a cigar, worked days. Don't remember his name but he was always nice to me being I was a rookie then....

    Pulled gas out of Mobil Albany in the '70's, they had a few R-Models and Whites but mostly the long nose Louisville Fords with 8V71's. First Class Terminal compared to the rest.

    You may have to change to a Gold Bulldog on the radiator.....

    A friend still has one metal grill from a Cat powered R-700 that was listed here a couple years ago along with an air cleaner for it which I'll get a photo of next week and post. Also I know of someone that may have a F-model grill coming up for sale in the future.

    Nice old photos......... Matlack photo looks to be pretty old, still running 237's Ft Edward looks to be on 22A in Vermont, wrecker is out of Middlebury.

    Railroad Ave in Colonie, there is a roof over the dock area and there may have been an overhead crane in the open area once upon a time. There are also a few cabs that used to be tarped, an ex Roadway and a Oneida Motor Freight Mack Cabs.

    According to Tom (Oldspwr) in his Brockway build thread, there is a company in Maryland called Interior Design Solutions, they sell a 3M product called Di-Noc which is a architectural grade vinyl, a dead ringer for the Brockway dash. Mack could have used the same product, different shade. Tom sent for several samples, which seemed like the size you may need. They have a website according to the post where you can view the product.

    Could that be the same woodgrain stick on panels that Brockway used on their dashboards? You could match the sheet and reskin, cut around the dog, it seems pretty intact there, and splice the new in around the dog. Use the casting resin to build up depending how the splice came out.
