Karl M80 have had the same problem with a InersolRand for the last few years I cut to the chase n bought a bran new turbine airstart I had an occaisonal problem when the air would bypass the vanes all i did was grab a BF screwdriver n crawled under n worked the flywheel a tad n it would clik n then fine to go there is a hole under flywheel housing n U can C the cogs on the flywheel n U just force the F/Wheel a bit "]http://www.khequipment.com.au/] Clikity ClikCLikCLik Yes after 36 years of the Ingersol rand with one major overhall me thort best to go 4 a new n LOL cya §wishy

my 2 cents worth from the udder side of the world if the compressor air intake is hookd up 2 the engine air cleaner n when the Govonor cuts out @ 120psi the suction from the mighty marvelous mack motor can suk oil up past the compressor piston rings n then gets blown south to the wet tank it happens more when the air cleaner element is plugged a little ifn U get my drift a little oil thru the air system hurts nun n tiz better than haveing water or condensation as this causes rust thru out the air system cya §wishy

Az eye recall the diesel engine twaz a horizontal single cylinder the operator turned the flywheel to just past TDC a copper plug @ top of cylinder head twaz heated by useing a blow torch th@ normally twaz used to strip paint off the outside of house or a modern propane gas heater, after bout 5 minutes of heatin the copper plug a shotgun type cartridgr with out shot twaz loaded into cartridge holder n locked down then a hammer twaz used to hit the center bolt th@ hit the detinator in said cartridge Where by the force sent the piston on its way, and the old beast came to life @ a speed U could count each firing of the diesel fuel LOL T H E R E Clear az mud cya §wishy
