GG2 Per my PM, the UPS MH interiors were very basic. I believe Level I but perhaps rifleman can educate me/us. There were several at a local yard many years ago and I never saw any interior parts that I could use. Not saying someone else could not use any interior parts. Nice grille sections are definitely hard to obtain. I found some used grille sections but most are in worse condition than on my MH. I am going to bring them to Macungie and perhaps someone can use them. Or maybe just bead blast them and paint. Thanks for keeping us MH nuts in mind. P.S. Vlad - did you buy a MH?

Cute pooch. Pete...no...short for Peterbilt. You need to name him Mack, Maxidyne, or Econodyne.

MACKS, WIN8.1 was introduced for "us" who prefer an earlier version like XP. BTW, Microsoft is quitting support for WIN XP on April 8, 2014. RIP XP!

I just purchased a new computer with Windows 8.1 and Internet Explorer 11. There are issues but I am not switching to an earlier version or Chrome or ????? IE11 has issues in BMT with copy/paste and quotes. Who knows what other issues will surface.

So far no interest in these parts. There are more parts that I will be posting....another injection pump, turbos, injection lines, seat suspension, etc. If no interest in "saving" these parts I will just trash them rather than posting for someone who might have a use.

Oh, by the way some truck stuff.... Top to bottom... Walmart future truck (line too long so I did not get to see inside the cab). I took the pic before the show opened and the cab was locked. 1939 Peterbilt White Freightshaker COE with CAT engine Wells Fargo coach Western Star (nicest display of all in my opinion) Mack Titan Wording on back of dump bed First prototype Dodge with Cummins Diesel engine Dodge engine compartment

Back from MATS....lots of people Thursday and today. Seemed to be more "animals" than usual on Thursday. Some kid was walking around with a Peterbilt belt buckle about the size of a hubcap. Like they say...."you can't fix stupid". This morning I chatted with Dr. David McK. Here is the only pic of interest....sorry about cutting off the heads.

Sorry about your loss ECD!

My mug has already been posted (on BMT and most post offices) but if you insist......

Could be warm (80s) and humid (up to 100%) but usually cool at night. Plenty of shade. Muddy if rain. And DON'T forget your CAMERA! TK Thursday and Saturday nights.

I will be there Thursday morning thru Friday noon.

Picked up some used hardware. I do not know the condition of the parts. Perhaps they can be rebuilt or used as a core. Please refer to the attached images. Let me know if you need additional images. GRILLE SOLD - Grille is from a F model. No dents but a few fins are slightly bent but nothing major. Grille needs to be refinished. I am open to reasonable offers for these parts. Prefer pickup at the farm in PA but can deliver to Gerhart's, Prefer not to ship these heavy parts. I will be posting additional parts/images in the coming weeks. Thanks!

WTF...5/8-13?!?
farmer52 replied to leversole's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Yes, many manufacturers started "mixing" US fasteners with metric fasteners in engines and vehicles in the mid 1970s. There were a few that used Metric heads on US threaded bolts. Talk about a cluster. -
I heard rumors that some people on BMT were inquiring about me. Well contrary to what some may think...I AM still alive and kicking. So you can dismiss the idea of finding the farm and "raping" my MH parts. BTW, still looking for NOS grille parts. I needed to take a "mental health" break from BMT and several other things. I think this f'in winter has taken its toll on me mentally. I am sick and tired of the COLD and SNOW. I spent most of the winter driving from OH to PA and back making sure everything was okay at both places. Then there is my mother (took a turn for the worse the past several weeks but on the road to recovery). Of course because of the weather I did NOT get anything thing accomplished or even started. Now that the weather is FINALLY turning more "spring-like" I am trying to complete some winter projects and now added to the list are all the normal spring projects. Along with a mental health break, I have been busy "adding more irons to the fire". I am helping with the local ATCA chapter (Keystone) planning the summer show (August 16-17) in Martinsburg, PA (only 5 miles from the farm). Someday I might learn to "notch back" and get a few items off the list instead of adding to the list. I thought when I retired I would have more time to enjoy my hobbies, etc. but NO!!!!!! I was in Nashville last week attending the Technology and Maintenance Council annual meeting and plan to be in Louisville for MATS (Thursday morning thru Friday noon). As I stated before....MATS turns into a "zoo" on Friday afternoon and Saturday so I am out of there after lunch on Friday. So in a nut shell...I am still alive but busier than a one armed paper hanger. I will check-in occassionally but perhaps only to look at pics of Winfall wimmin and Macks. If anyone wants to contact me....use my personal email address posted in my profile. Take care everyone and thanks for the concern, Farmer Ken

Not you. Sent you a PM.

Didn't we cover the Mack ownership previously in other threads? Do we have to continually bitch and moan about Volvo and Mack? Can we just move on to talking about Mack trucks and their preservation. Otherwise I will be moving on.

Relisted MH picture. BUY NOW price is $49.99 plus $25 shipping. Still not worth it in my opinion. But Christmas is coming...hint hint. http://www.ebay.com/itm/151233314018?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Not the same formulation as 15W-40 Mobil Delvac conventional oil. Full Synthetic typically uses Group IV base stock, non-syn either Group II or Group III base stocks and typically results in different chemistry/formulation.

what oil to put in 1977 mack engin burning oil
farmer52 replied to ginger's topic in Engine and Transmission
Are you using 15W-40 weight oil? If so, there is a reason your engine is using oil (worn rings/liners and/or valve guides, external leaks). There is no oil fix for mechanical wear. How many miles since overhaul? -

Nice! Is it for sale? -
Yep, Cresson mountain. The exit at the top is Summit. It is where old route 22 crosses the new 22. If you get off at Summit and go east about one (1) mile is Cresson Ridge Diesel, an old Mack dealer. There is also an old truck stop next to CRD. Can't remember the name but it is closed.
-
Nice pics. The Hollidaysburg - Duncansville sign looks familiar. Were you coming down Cresson mountain headed East on Route 22?
